Well you see Mr. Debater_B, I actually READ the story. It says that the cameras are activated by sensors in the road that detect speeding vehicals. So I fail to see how, per your logic, these camers will catch other crimes in the act. Furthermore if you READ my post correctly you would see that I said having a police officer in the school zone would help to DETER other crimes. That means an abduction is less likely to happen if a perp sees a cop in the area instead of a sensor activated camera pointed at the road. Also nowhere in my post did I say that I was okay with automated operators over the phone. That is a distorted fact that you placed in your comment to enhance your "debate." I have seen your comments on other stories and have been a 'thumbs up' supporter of yours because usually your opinion mimics my own, however I am disappointed that you chose to pick a fight with me about this topic when you clearly did not read all the facts in the story, or for that matter clearly read my comment and put words in my mouth. Well I guess I can't win them all. See you on the next story.

I think that these cameras take away from the community. Giving a machine the job of a human. Having a police officer in a school zone can help to deter other crimes like abduction, vandalism, and violence. Can the speed cameras do these things?
