If the pilot did fly it to russia i hope the US has a tracking beacon on it that way they can cruise missle the hell out of the plane and stop it from eventually going to NK or China. I hope the pilot is ok, unless he traded his country for some chinese money.

f22 is not a disaster, it was a project that if it was managed properly would have been an unstoppable plane. But with that being said, i think stealth eagles would be the way to go. But then again with this administration that would make sense and be logical so it will never happen

I couldnt agree with you more. personally i am against using the F35 as our main fighter/attack aircraft. I think having one big huge force made up of one kind of plane is a mistake. If an enemy finds a weakness in the F35, then we only have 187 F22 to deal with the problem. I think they need to cut back from the 2500 F35 they want down to 1000 and use the rest of the money from the other 1500 to make f22.

I do see what you are trying to say. I am in no way saying that china would walk all over us. quality only goes so far.. an F15 can surely take down 3 or 4 migs, but outnumber them with 5 or 6, eventually the F15 is gonna lose. samething with subs. Think of it like this. A northern Pike can eat just about any fish it wants, it can even eat a piranha maybe 2 or 3 of them, but get 5 or 6 pirahna the Northern pike loses.

Does anyone know if the F15 Stealth Eagle will be marketed to the US, i think this would be a better option then the F35. The F15 is a proven airframe and the F35 seems to be full of bugs. and Second, i hate the F22 is cancelled, Does anyone think it will ever get put into production again. I see people pst stuff like, "why do we need 1000 f-16 to fight curren war". well we dont, so my suggestion is dont deploy what we dont need, but dont scrap them either. Everything gates and obama is doing is killing our defense/offense capability. I could see scrapping the B1 if they were trying to make room for the F22B, but we all know that not gonna happen. The problem is they are going to shut down F22 plants all together. So when the US finally realizes they made another ooppsy and russia has 300-400 pakfas to our 187 raptors, the us will notbe able to just start making more F22. Since the US cancelled the F22, i have always said that the US will now fall behind in Air superiority. Gates has no clue and is focused only on the here and now, he is not focused on the future. Think about this, If gates were in charge back in the 70's and 80's we would have never built the F15,F16,F18 that we have now, because he would have felt that the F4 phantoms and F5 were enough for the US. Well good thing he wasnt in charge then because we wouldhave fought the First Gulf war, The 2nd gulf war and Afghanistan with F4's and F5 tigersharks. It is stupid, Russia and china are currently building there 5th gen fighters and we cancel ours, and Gates wants to moth ball 2 aircraft carriers. The F35 is not and cannot do what the F22 can. Iran, NK and China are going to be a problem, and we are going to be stuck trying to provide security with F15's and F16's "two less Carriers" against SU27's, J-10's and the Pakfa 50. I think Gates and obama are destroying us from inside out.
