Yes, we borrow from each other, in the present or sometimes in the future (e.g., TARP didn't all go out immediately), but the repayment is in the future and, therefore based on the repayment schedule, our children's debt to shoulder.

That ("banning abortion for rape victims") is not the text they have in their platform and Romney has indicated, among other things, that he would not sign it (should he be President). What they do have/have had in their platform is support for a "human rights amendment" (asserting the sanctity of human life and affirming that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed).

Now, I'm sure that one can interpret that as "banning abortion for rape victims," but maybe they don't. Seems like a reasonable interpretation, but I've never asked the platform writers (nor do I intend to do so) and I don't think they include the candidate either.
