Why would anyone be negative about the dow being up? I want the folks who have saved for 20-30 years in their 401K's to be able to retire. To loose profits in their 401K's is bad enough, but alot of folks have lost a lifetime of savings. What's wrong with you?

I don't think CA should be given anymore money until they have submitted a plan on how they are going to clean up their mess. Expecting taxpayers from other states to bail them out will only contribute to the negative behavior, and it's not fair. Folks in KS can't tap into the resources in CA yet they are paying for them. It isn't right.

Reform? Reform what? Unless they plan on reducing the federal agencies spending to 2008 levels, and cutting alot of additional appropriations in the 2009-2010 federal budget they are basically stating fraud. It's like the merchant of a store who doubles the price then marks it down 10% and tells you its on sale. It's a scam and a fraud.

The Merchandise Mart was the last business the Kennedy family owned; its assets are now primarily in the form of securities. In 1990, before the stock boom of that decade, Forbes estimated the family's wealth at $850 million IMO the Kennedy family can afford to fund their own legacy. Leave the taxpayers out of it.

I won't read this excuse statement. This additional spending, had they done none of it, would have worked out fine. The stimulus has more than adequately funded government agencies through the end of the fiscal year. This is downright irresponsible and I'm not interested in explanations or excuses. This is all deficit spending. This is like taking a cash advance with interest on your credit card every month to pay your mortgage. At some point you have to decide to downsize or the decision will be made for you and create alot of loss.
