Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : Shaunie O'Neal Was Offer Shaq's Sex Tape

Shit - If I were her I would have bought the tape for leverage. Then again, I HAVE been told that I can be a vindictive bitch at times.....oh well!

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : Hear King Sweet & Petite's Demo of '1+1'

I actually...and omg I can't believe I'm going to say this...i actually prefer Dream's version. ...I know, I know... But his version has a very subtle Prince funk vibe which keeps the song from getting too cheesy and boring...which is what I think of Beyonce's version. Every time she does one of these love ballads it's always so cheesy and slow. And I have to say that Dream has the best falsetto of any dude in the game, and he transitions into the falsetto a lot smoother than Bey does, whih comes off as a little harsh in her version.

Yo Brando! : Boys Ruin Everything

Haha! A valid suggestion, Robert. I joined a gay chorus recently, and I honestly do enjoy it. But it's a challenge, which is a good thing. Just not what I would call relaxing just yet. Not to mention, it means that every Wednesday I'm trapped in a room with 100 other gay men, most of whom are attractive to some degree. Maybe I'll just go sit by the river and knit. By the way, surprised you read my blog. Thought it'd be a little too gay for you ;) See you tomorrow.

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : I Don't Think Raz-B Wants It With Chris Brown

Some celebrities really shouldn't tweet; it just brings to the surface how dumb and vapid they are...Chris. Not that I'm defending RazB's attention-whoring ass, either. It's just that reading Chris Brown's twitter page really makes me want to go read a book.

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : Is Matt Kemp Doing Heaux-Sh*t?

Suspect as hell. Friend or whatever, chick was TOO comfortable walkin up close and getting in his personal space. And she did reach for his hand. Notice her hand extended right as she closes the gap. Not too mention how "BUSTED" as hell he looked right after. Even the Papz noticed because he IMMEDIATELY started asking if he was dating Rihanna when that was confirmed AGES ago. Papz was trying to instigate some shit. lol

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : Update (FULL): Lil’ Kim to Nicki Minaj, ‘I’m Turning Pink Friday to Friday the 13th!’

ummm, if you wanna take it there. I hated the line when Busta did it, too. I don't respect any hip hop that comprises itself out of lazy ass rhymes. And really, that's all Nicki is. I could look that line out of context, if it weren't for the fact that all of Nicki's flows are comprised of pulling shit together that makes no damn sense, and hiding lyrical inadequacy behind a wacky delivery. She gets no style points for "Like a dungeon dragon" when the lyrical barrenness of that line is what makes up her whole shtick.

Im going to have to go against the grain and say i enjoyed the diss. Why? Because Kim is spittin' like she used to. Raw, deep-voiced, straight to the point SPIT. Unlike Nikki's gimicky, overly theatical, lazy-ass-rhyming ass ("like a dungeon dragon? seriously?") I can't wait to hear the whole track...

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : Ameriie Trying New Sound...Again

To be fair - her last album, "In Love and War" was, critically, her best received album. She had some great tracks there. I would honestly say that it was in the top 5 R&B albums to get released last year. Amerie knows how to make a good album. Out of the 4 (5?) albums she's had, only one's really been bad (Touch). The rest have been solid - two of them ("Amerie" and "In Love and War") have been great. Not to mention, she gets credit for being one of the first female R&B singers to make a mix-tape The problem with Amerie has always been that she needs better people. Period. And I think that's why she's doing all the weird things (name change, hair color): to get the publicity. Because that has been the 1 Thing lacking from her albums - absolutely abysmal promotion and wack single choices.

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : Beyonce's 'Self' Cover + Queen of Pop?

Beyonce the Queen of Pop? Not yet. They really need to STOP giving artists labels before they deserve them. Now, this is not to blast Beyonce. Girl is hella talented. In fact, I would say that only she, Britney, and Gaga are in the running to becoming the next generation of Icons, but none of them are there yet. Beyonce has been doing this for a while, but if she EVER wants to be considered an icon, she's going to have to let herself become a bit more vulnerable and put a bit more artistry into her music. She is TOO commercial right now. Whenever she goes to make an album, she doesn't really think about theme or voice or social commentary. She goes into the studio with the hottest producers she can find, and puts together an album out of the hottest tracks. Now, this isn't BAD, because Beyonce has got some serious hits under her belt. But, it does mean that, on a whole, her albums aren't really that memorable. They don't really say anything or create this iconic moment to make her Queen of Pop. Beyonce has yet to truly have an Iconic Moment. SIngle Ladies came close, but not quite. Take a look at Madonna: You can HATE her, but you know her music. You know her albums. And her Blonde Ambition tour set the tone for how pretty much every female pop act tours and performs today. By the time people started calling her Queen of Pop, Madonna had already left an undeniable mark on Pop music and a blueprint for how every teen pop tart would try to play this game. Beyonce hasn't really done that yet. She's close. Closer than anyone, possibly. But not yet,

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : ♫Lauryn Hill: Repercussions

Yep, I think this track is new. And I love it. Lauryn Hill does need to come back. She has a brilliant musical mind, there's simply no other way to put. But hey, at least we have great, vocally talented, socially conscious and lyrically deep artists like NICKI MINAJ here to carry the torch in L-Boogie's absense!

See, that's the problem with celebrities these days, and why music is so lazy and lacks true growth and innovation. These new artists don't have to put in work to get vetted. They put out one decent album or, in Nicki's case, a couple of mixtape's and a handful of so-so features, and people are lining up to give them titles like "baddest chick who has ever done it" or "she's the next [insert certified LEGEND's name here]." Producers, other artists, and even consumers are just making it way too easy for them. I mean, hell, not even LAUREN HILL got her status easy. "The Miseducation of Lauren Hill" was hot right out of the gate, and even when it scored 11 grammy nominations people weren't calling her a legend back then. She was the shit, but not legend. It wasn't until YEARS later, when people were able to look back and see the impact that TMoLH had on music in its time, and how hot it STILL was, that people were like "Damn, L-Boogie is the TRUTH." These days all a new artist has to do it put out a hit single (in Nicki's case, not even that) and we're comparing them to legends? Really?? And people still wonder why Lil' Kim was so pissed...

Miss Jia: She ain’t for everybody… : C-Mili Agrees with Miss Jia, KS&P IS Shady as HELL

Dream is just DIRTY. I mean really! And to the people calling him fat and ugly, implying that because he's not good-looking he should be a good, humble man...HA! Read this closely, ladies: A man will act like a man as long as there are WOMEN out there who will LET him. Regardless of what the fuck he looks like. Don't get me wrong, the same goes for all sexes (women can be triflin' too), but why does it always seem that, in these celebrity break-up stories where the dude is just straight doggin' his woman out, there's always a desperate, bitter, groupie-ass chick ready to jump on it, pardon HIM and blame all the relationship problems on the last girl? Same goes for us non-celebrity folk. Women, I'm tellin' you, start subjecting these men to the same highly-selective criteria that they place on YOU. You think if a WOMAN was walking around with Dream's reputation that good men would be all up on it? Hell no. Well, they'd maybe try to smash on the sly, but you could forget gettin invited to Mom's house for Sunday dinner. And yet a man can walk like a dog, bark like a dog, smell like a dog, breed all over town like a dog, and (in Dream's case) look like a dog, and STILL have a line of women ready to try to convince the world that he isn't a dog.
