This article was written before any test results could have possibly been conducted. So just because the police had suspicion, doesn't mean it's true. Also there's no proof he was speeding. There's a high chance that a deer went in front of him unexpectedly, and he slammed on his brakes, there was loose gravel in the area, so there's a good chance he lost control upon hitting that area of gravel. I do understand though that most people seem to have a misconception that a majority of teenagers are stupid and don't know what they're doing, so I'll respect your opinion even though I think it's wrong. Also the area he crashed in was a common deer crossing area, maybe a deer jumped in front of him and he slammed on his brakes. Even at a respectable speed such as 30 his tires could've caught on loose gravel causing him to crash.
