Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/2/09 - 4/9/09

I'm having an issue. I've read some good ideas on this site, but I've read a lot of comments; while good natured, goes against the Constitution we all have been saying we support. I believe that the Constitution only works right when "we the people" are involved! I read all the time on here that "there needs to be term limits", "we need to fire Washington", "Impeech Obama", and "the people in Washington get paid too much and need their benifits stripped". While saying these things might make you feel better, none of these are realistic. Replacing the people in Washington with the right people is the only answer to these problems. That is our responsibility! It's our fault! We the people put them there, and it's up to us to remove the ones not performing in our best interest!

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : America's Wish List

The un-inform voters are the ones that are ruining the election process. I feel that it has become imparitive that we as 9/12ers educate the people in our communities. Holding tea parties and writing elected officials is great, but to have a real impact I believe we need to reach out to those un-informed voters and pass along the ideas and solutions being voiced on this website. If more people were voting based on knowledge instead of likeability and name recognition, maybe we'd see officials that deserved to have the opertunity to serve the people for multipule terms.

I'm disappointed to see that term limits for elected officials is leading in the poll. That's just shirking the responsability of the voter. It is up to the voters to decide who stays in and who gets booted out. I realize that many can look at the likes of Raymond Byrd, John McCain, and Teddy Kennedy and say they shouldn't be allowed to stay, but there are good ones that are serving the people's interest that will continue to do so as long as we let them. When they stop serving the people and start serving their own interests, it's up to the people to remove them from office during the next election.

The founder have already placed term limits, they're called elections. If an elected official is doing the job the way the majority in the district, state, county, etc... the majority should have the option to keep him there doing the peoples work. If he's not, he shouldn't be re-elected. It's a simple concept, the problem is the uninformed votes during the election.

I don't understand the need for the attacks and name calling; address the problem that's giving you grieff, not the individuals. I understand what some others are saying when they say it's imposible for Mexicans to immigrate leagally. I've known my that have;; and yes it is difficult, but it is possible. BUT, just because it's hard, doesn't mean you allow someone to bypass the laws we have in place! Is it hard to get in leagally, YES, is it worth it YES, will it be worth it if you break the law to do so, NO. So many are living in fear of being caught that they let them selves be exploited by other. This is wrong in my eyes, but to reward their bad behavior isn't the right answer. The should try doing it the right way. I realize that means sending them back, but if they learn from their mistake, and come across the legal way, they will be welcomed with open arms and won't have to live in fear. They will truely be able to expirience and enjoy the American Citizen's lifestyle.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Do you know what this symbol is?

I work in the feild of food safety, and I can see the benifits to irradiation. The bad thing is; the reason we're headed this route, is because people don't know how to cook and prepare food anymore! Too many people are getting sick from food that they under cooked or didn't wash or refridgerate properly. Instead of learning how to do it right, the brainless masses what a quick fix so they don't have to think! I think irradiation is fine, but it shouldn't be mandatory. Most people have been eating irradiated products for years without knowing it. Lot's of spices and seasonings are irradiated, but don't require the symbol. Some advances in food safety are good, but they're coming about for the wrong reasons. Before too long we'll all be eating out of toothpaste tubes because we can't be trusted to prepare our own foods.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Stand Up & Lead - 3/13/09 - 3/23/09

I'm not sure term limits are the answer, I think we need to focus on the caliber if people we elect into office! The type of folks we should be sending , are the ones that will step down if they're unable to do the job. If we get a good person in there, we should keep him as long as he continues to do a good job. There are good people there already, but the corrupt majority keeps them down.
