Sometimes it is, but sometimes it clearly isn't. There are those who say "judge not others lest thou be judge", but my personal rule is "judge, but prepare to be judged". Bad taste is bad taste, no matter who does it. I have seen rich kids dress in ugly and tasteless clothing(back in the early 90s and to some extent in the 60s) and pulled no punches for pointing their poor sense of fashion. I also have met plenty of working class(and yes, even poor people) who have an excellent sense of style. Walmart has become a total freakshow when it comes to fashion. And if you choose to go out dressing like that fat guy with the ultra-short t shirt or the stretched out woman with her ass hanging out, then you're going to have to deal with ridicule. Don't judge people on things that are not within their control(like their race, gender, sexuality, class, ability, etc.), but things that are within peoples control are fair game for judgement whether you like it or not.
