It's quite easy, the same way they missed the cutie marks and wings like threehundred million times during the previous seasons.

I gotta agree. I still love the characters, though the show is quite clearly changing targets from "Little Girls and their families" to "Little Girls and Internet addicts".

However the fandom (especially this site) showed its true colors during Princess Twilight and Equestria Girls. I removed the label and am not associating myself with the brony fandom since that.
