While it looks beautiful, the characters are stiff and unimaginative and have some of the worst dialogue I have heard in a long long time. Scott Caan, who is a terrific actor, gets the worst of it with his Danno character. It comes off as a caricature of the real Scott Caan and every cookie cutter action hero ever written. Alex O'loughlin is not convincing as a naval officer, especially a SEAL. The giant arm tattoos alone would have made it difficult for him to be a SEAL let alone advance to the rank of Lt. Commander. His character is too impulsive by half. Someone also needs to hip the costumer that there is a difference between a Royal Australian Navy Uniform and a United States Navy Uniform (look at the pilot, O'Laughlin is wearing commonwealth uniform altered to look like an American uniform.) I really wanted this show to be good and it isn't. It is all sizzle and no steak.
