Steven thank you for showing the truth about Canadian health care. I live in the Detroit area and I know many Canadians. If they want immediate care they come here.

Yeah, you're right. Couldn't they have taken a glass from the kitchen? He's buying another glass - something he doesn't need - he's just adding more STUFF to his home. Guess he's not such a better man after all :)

As a huge Disney fan, them buying into the whole "man is bad, scare the children, save the planet," thing does grate on my nerves. Although one of the worst offenders it the MC/Visa commercial. It shows the kid with his dad, shutting off the water when he brushes his teeth, buying a stupid mercury-filled light bulb and getting him to buy a reusable shopping bag. The tag line is: Water glass: $5, energy saving bulb: $4, reusable bag: $2 - Helping your Dad become a better man: Priceless. Since when does conserving water or using a freaking' shopping bag make you a better man. Again, the whole thing is tied to emotion, not logic. If you're trying to recycle you are good, if you are not you are bad. Ridiculous argument.

Big Hollywood : Tony Award Nominations 2009

Welcome back, Stage -- I've missed your Broadway insight! Thanks for another great article. In the same way the Broadway elites slam the "Hollywood Hacks that are selling the tickets" they slam the idiots from the flyover states who buy tickets and keep them employed, as you pointed out in your brilliant, "I am Scott Eckert" article. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

Big Hollywood : Defending Wanda -- Kind Of

Although Sykes' jokes about Limbaugh and Cheney set me back a bit, I do realize that she is a comedienne trying to make a political statement in front of her "god Obama." But what really irked me about the jokes and what no one is concerned about is the President's reaction to them. Yeah, a lot of over-the-top stuff gets said at the dinner, but the President should always be President and should not be yukking it up with drivel that Sykes spewed. But then wouldn't a President laughing at real off-color joke -9/11 no less, be something the late-night comedians could finally grill him for? Nah! He then made fun of the NY flyover - $300,000 of taxpayer $$ and scary the hell out of New Yorkers is just a good laugh! But this isn't stuff the comedians.

Big Hollywood : Andrew Lloyd Webber and His Amazing Technicolor Tax Logic

Great piece SR. I always enjoy your poignant and thoughtful articles. The left always uses emotions in their arguements, becuase they falter with the logic part (just try telling them that polar bears know how to swim!). This is the only the left knows, raise taxes, and call the people that don't support them big, rich bigots. Look at Garafalo and what she called the teaparty attenders.

Think his apology has anything to do with his new movie "The Soloist" coming out, which is what he was promoting on Leno? Where's all the outrage from the feminists? Where's Al and Jessie defending the downtrodden? Where's the outrage for the "white bitch" comment. I don't believe Foxx said that, but the woman on his show did and I think she said it several times. He laughs and says, "We're the black Howard Stern" like that's something to be proud of! I am so sick of the double standard!

Big Hollywood : Me? Or Your Lying Eyes? II

"The bottom line, can anything that comes out of this White House be trusted if they are willing to lie over something so small?" Simple answer: No. While I don't think the gesture was small as far as how it determines our standing in the rest of the world, but with Obama's "Blame America" speech the gesture fit right in. I'm surprised he didn't try to kiss his ring. This is a gaffe he couldn't blame on the previous administration or "cable chatter" or "conservative talk radio." He made a mistake and cannot admit it - the man is so arrogant and smarmy he makes Donald Trump look humble. "The buck stops with me . . . except for this." What's just as disconcerting as the white house lying about it, is the media's allowing them to get away with it. The bow disgusts me, the lies disgust me and the media disgust me.

Big Hollywood : Casting 'Atlas Shrugged': Professionalism Before Politics

Thanks for the interesting and informative article. Since many celebrities shoot off their mouths and remind us daily of their ignorance, it's easy to forget that they are not political wizards, but ACTORS. They are paid to ACT not pontificate. As Jane stated the storyline would be up to the screenwriter and director and I would imagine that if someone is looking to pursue this project they would be staying true to the story, but then I've been extremely disappointed in most Stephen King films. I also think an HBO miniseries a la John Adams might be the way to go with this. Despite their leftist leanings they did a phenomenal job with John Adams. BTW -- welcome to BH Jane.

Big Hollywood : Hate Speech Resides on the Left

Again the lefties try to distract from what's really going on. Instead of addressing the reason Rush wants to get out to NY - Governor Patterson and his ridiculous tax increase - Stewart just attacks Rush - good riddance, etc. If the idiot thought about it for a minute he might disagree with the tax increase or question to validity of it. But if he did that the he would be agreeing with Rush - HORROR OF HORRORS! Since he can't do that, he'll just attack Rush and another stupid "tax the rich to death" increase is put through and no one blinks an eye. "Tax increase? What tax increase? Nothing to see here - move along - Rush is an idiot, etc."

Exactly right! The left cannot debate any issues, so they attack the person saying what they don't like. This is why liberal radio tanked and conservative talk radio is flourishing.
