The Wiire : A Top Ten of Gaming Pet Peeves

For me, reading the manual for games on the toilet and then leaving it in the bathroom to get wet. Even worse is dropping it in the toilet.:) Load screens when it could have been avoided. Great games that don't seem to sell as mentioned (Zack & Wiki, DeBlob?)

The Wiire : No More Heroes Until 2010

Come you, you can't say it will be broken with WiiMotionPlus, we don't even have WMP yet so how do you know how they'll implement it? They don't have to do 1:1 but there's nothing wrong with it if they do decide on 1:1 beam Katana fighting, I think it'll be sweet. Yeah we could wait for a *coughdecentcough* Star Wars game but it still doesn't mean they'll even get it right, or it'll be at all decent! Go back and check the WMP tech demo that was posted (sorry no link) when WMP was first announced and you can see why this game would be better with it. As for it coming 2010, hell yeah, means they have time to add true depth to the title and make it a lot better than the 1st! One game I'll be buying in 2010 already :)

The Wiire : Suda51 Comments on WiiMotionPlus

I disagree here, I think NMH with WiiMotionPlus could be fantastic, you don't have to use all the functions it has or even add 1:1, but it would add tighter controls all round that I would like - with some of the wrestling moves you could pretty much move in any direction at times and it still worked. Still, it's a great game and I think Suda will use it in an innovative way if he does add it even though I loved how the first one controlled. Is it me or is ID getting a little out of hand with thumbing down comments for no reason? Multiple profiles etc as on the podcast posts. JS have a + back.

I never once found De Blob in the top 20 Wii games sales on amazon.com since it was released, I read great reviews and it's meant to be a great game but I just couldn't see anything in it for me, I've a feeling it has sold below expectations (Like Zack and Wiki) which to me is a shame considering the effort that went into these games. I'm playing World of Goo at the moment and it's fantastic! If you like puzzle games and want to support a great title then download this game today (1,500 points).

Bloody hell, give them a break! It hasn't been that long since the last podcast and A LOT has happened in the last two weeks so it was better for them to wait and cover everything properly rather than speculating about what might have happened at TGS etc. I'll download it and listen to it now, it should be good as we've had lots to talk about over the last few weeks :)

The Wiire : Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop Delayed

I'll give them a chance to polish it up and get it out before I lay into it, they said they were still working out quite a few things last time including increasing the number of Zombies on screen and for Capcom I think in the end they'll do a decent job - I think they might have made en error in using the RE:4 engine but it's still a decent engine. I'm up for buying it if it turns out to be decent, I don't want to play it on a 360 anyway. I thought it was a 2009 release originally so I must have missed the original release date. I'm still looking forward to it.

The Wiire : Is Rogue Squadron Coming to Wii?

Excellent news, I would love all 3 on one disc with updated graphics and Wii controls! But one thing I ask is that Nintendo do the right thing here and put Factor 5 on this project to get it done right! I have 2 and 3 and I've played them loads but I'd certainly invest in this just to play an updated version on Rogue Squadron 1 on the Wii. Please let this rumour be true.

The Wiire : The Wiire Podcast 111

Did Andrew get to see Call of Duty: World at War for the Wii? was it even there? I'm looking forward to this game but trying to get any news/screens/videos etc seems impossible unless it's for the 360/PS3 or the PC. They told us it'll look great etc but I haven't seen anything to get me excited yet. Again the Conduit looks like a must buy for 2009. I really like how HV are taking on comments from people off the floor and seem genuinely considering their comments to improve the game.

The Wiire : The Conduit Continues to Impress

Excellent, it looks like next March is going to be an expensive month. You can't help but be impressed with what these guys are trying to do, they have continuously improved the game and worked their bollocks off to get it where it is. I'm not sure what they need MotionPlus for though? MOH:H2 and MP3 were good enough with the just the Wiimote to be honest, but If they want to add and use it then that's great but I hope it's not just for the sake of it.

The Wiire : 2D Boy Gets Gooey

I've been waiting for this game since Wiiware launched, it looks excellent and everything I want in a download title on the Wii. Still I hope it makes it out soon and doesn't get pushed back again. I'm pretty sure I read in an interview a few months ago that the European version will be on disc but that it will have extra content that the US Wiiware version will not have, whether or not that the extra content is worth the extra cost is a different matter. Still, can't wait and hopefully it'll live up to the hype.

The Wiire : The Wiire Podcast 110

I watched that trailer yesterday, to be honest I don't think it's a fair comparison. Capcom have come out and said please be patient with Dead Rising and that we haven't seen all the surprizes that are planned for the game. There's no release date yet either and still plenty of time to fix things up, Hitman didn't look that great (was that final release?), all the crowd did the same thing and the AI was pretty poor, okay a zombie AI doesn't have to be much but Capcom generally make decent games and I still have faith Dead Rising will be a great game. I haven't posted on Intense Debate for a while but a lot of posters seem to have negative or 0? Ahh...I just saw the screw you guy?!..fantastic.

The Wiire : Virtual Console Mega Man Mania

Cool, I'm glad they are releasing the original titles first on the VC, it makes sense and it's nice to check them out before MM9 - although it's just to get a lot more money from us suckers. I played one on my NES many years ago but I'm not sure if it was 2 or 3 I think I quite liked it but to be honest I'm not too sure. I think we have a few points left my purchasing My Life as A King so I might use them to check out MM.

Yep, I support Chris' Developer Document feature. I'm a big Zelda fan but I've never played or even wanted to buy a Prince of Persia game, so it'll be interesting to see what these features are and how they would be included and if I'd actually like them in Zelda. For some reason whenever I've seen any footage of PoP I've never found it to be a game I must play, Will he be also writing this in his bikini and posting the footage on youtube?

The Wiire : Red Steel 2 in the Works

I think it is just a case of they saw it at E3 and wanted to use it, this is an ideal game for it so it makes perfect sense! This probably ties into the 'game delays due to motionplus' topic on the boards as well. They have been working on the framework/engine for the game etc for many months already like they say, now I guess they'll just add in wiimotion controls and hopefully the extra development time will produce a very good AAA title from Ubisoft. Alot of people seem excited, I never played the first game but I've read opinions about the game so far apart it's slightly crazy, my only concern is that I don't usually rate Ubisoft - but they have to get at least one game right! Still, I bet a release date that will be the same as Wii Sports: Resort.

The Wiire : GTA Wii to Follow DS Version?

I think it could be great and it could sell well. I LOVED GTA Vice CIty, just everything about it was what I wanted in a GTA game, San Andreas I played on the PC and only got about 30% through, I liked it but just lost interest and other games overtook my time. GTA IV looks good but I think it's too hyped. Obviously the Vice City stories are on the PSP so going down that road would be a bit lame, but I'd love the 80's again, new city, add a few motion controls without going OTT. I'd buy it.

The Wiire : Iwata 'Sorry' About E3 Conference

To be fair in the conference it was mentioned that the 'Mario' and 'Zelda' teams were hard at work. I think it was someone from Capcom that recently said any AAA titles take 2 years decent development time, so I can see why Zelda hasn't arrived and we only got Galaxy last November. I honestly think Nintendo is looking to 3Ps to fill the gap this year and hopefully we'll see some decent games (I know there's a few coming). Anyway, enough about E3, everyone has said it's probably the last one and I think we need to move on.

The Wiire : Wii Sports is More Fit than Wii Fit

He does have a point with the fun factor, Wii Fit just doesn't capture what Wii Sports created from the start. I can quite happily go back and play Wii Sports now and enjoy it...give me Wii Fit 1.5 years down the line and I wont wont to play much of it to be honest. But as a workout a proper Wii Fit routine would be better, and like most exercise it's boring as hell after 20 hours of the same thing so it captures workouts/fads quite well! Wii Fit is a bit to preachy at times and it has a few missing features that would of been nice - like being able to add to your activity log on other days than the current one.
