To all the folks asking "Where's the lesson?" I pose to you the following:

It doesn't necessarily NEED a lesson every episode.

Consequently, if you desperately need that lesson to enjoy the episode, just go with "Don't spoil someone else's surprise"

Not too much, just the story. The internal conflict that Pinkie faces as she struggles to keep a huge secret away from her best friends. Everypony else facing a slowly increasing horror as they stand there wondering just when the pink mare finally went mad.
Little things like that.
