If they REALLY wanted to do something about it, they would
put the button right next to the LIKE button, not hide it away.

Nothing worse than lazy programmers.

She made a mistake and has apologized for her insensitivity.
Hopefully her lack of good judgment will be a lesson to others.

But as far as being fired...that was uncalled for.

And receiving death threats and such...from Americans???
Freedom of speech does not extend to that.

How far we have fallen when such actions are even lightly entertained.

Hopefully the authorities will locate and have a very serious "discussion"
with those who threaten the life and safety of another.

So I take it you're not an American...

Americans used to stand for truth, justice and freedom, but I guess that's no longer as important as money, ratings, arrogance and hubris.

It doesn't say much for the trustworthiness of OUR government if he felt he had to flee the country to avoid being "disappeared." Having worked inside the system, he was probably more aware of its capabilities than most people.

The only people he betrayed were those betraying the trust of their nation.

In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Edward Snowden might have just kept his head down and done his job and we would none-the-wiser regarding the level of surveillance our own government performs on us and the rest of the world.

Of course the government is going to scoff at Mr Snowden's statement; they were found with their proverbial pants down and wish to deflect attention away from themselves and back toward Mr Snowden.

Congress has shown itself time an again to be the best legislative body money can buy. Perhaps the NSA would be better tasked surveilling members of Congress and the shady dealings in which they involve themselves on a daily basis.

"If you don't realize your money is being siphoned out of an account in tiny increments, you're not being robbed."

"If your child is being molested and you don't know about it, it isn't happening."

"If all of your medical history is being passed around various agencies without your knowledge or permission, your privacy is not being viloated."

So when that video of Rep Rogers engaging in somewhat questionable activities surfaces on YouTube, so long as he doesn't know about it, his privacy hasn't been violated...right?

I really, really, really wish we could pass a Constitutional Amendment limiting members of Congress to 2 terms, just like the president. Why should they be allowed to stay in office for decades destroying the country from within when the president can't?

LOL! Oh, yeah...right. (wink, wink)

The definition of "The Cloud" is: "Your information is no longer yours."

The genie has been let out of the bottle and no way he's going back in. Uh uh.

If a fight between truth and financial profit, truth seldom prevails.

I can see where eventually all of our history being rewritten by whomever wants to buy the privilege of doing so and no one will bother to object. After all, our Congress is controlled by big business and special interest, why not everything else in society.

We're heading toward a haves/have-nots society where the powerful few will control virtually everything and the rest will be nothing more than expendable, paid labor.

Ha ha ha! I am constantly amused by people who believe that anything, once committed to digital format and sent out into the "cloud", is private, secure or ever really deleted.

The "Cloud" is just another way of saying you no longer control your content.
