Close a few loopholes. That will raise the funds and help British business (if subsidising their foreign competitors by a whole whopping 10% less can really be described as "help" - ideally we'd not be doing it all!) https://www.taxjustice.net/2018/10/21/how-the-uk-...

So much for a market based solution. The Tories used to be the party of free market economics based on sober analysis and sound judgement. Now we have government sponsored restaurants, unprecedented deficit spending and scientifically illiterate morons publishing 'green new deal' bilge on the pages of conservative home - how sad

Given the sheer extant of damage done to the UK economy (and the FS industry in particular) by the last three governments, it seems optimistic to assume that even protest is within their competence... https://www.reuters.com/article/us-britain-eu-ban...

I think you misunderstand. As I said above the report has been quite widely covered in the news. I was merely commenting that it's surprising that you haven't come across it already, assuming you read the news.

However since you seem to be struggling in this particular area allow me to assist you. Here is a link to the report which, again, I found by reading: https://www.crisis.org.uk/media/238700/homelessne...

Here is a link to the same report only on the Heriot Watt University website: https://researchportal.hw.ac.uk/en/publications/t...

This relates to another apparent misunderstanding you have. The report was commissioned by Crisis, not carried out by them.

I also note that your argument fails even on its own terms. Even if you believe it likely that a national charity would conspire with a major university to fabricate research, why would having 'an iron in the fire' lead them to simultaneously underestimate homelessness in Scotland but overestimate it in England..? I think it more likely that you're tired or perhaps feeling a bit overwhelmed by the last few days? Feel better soon.

All very well but this won't be solved by people on internet forums. In order to force the situation to a conclusion we'd need a) a PM with the courage to take it to parliament or b) more than 35% of MPs to acquire a backbone.

Of course that excludes the possibility that the PM is deliberately stalling in order to run down the clock so as to frustrate the democratic will of the people and circumvent parliament, but since that would be treason it would imply that even belonging to a party led by a known traitor would make me complicit so I'm choosing not to jump to conclusions. Yet.

Homelessness in England since 2010: increased by 120%. Scotland: down 5%. It's a shame that so very many so called conservatives in this country are too weak or gullible to confront failure and incompetence when it's staring them in the face. It is no wonder we are where we are

Agreed, she has brought this entirely on herself. Frankly I don't trust her competence with regard to no deal planning either and I don't think enough Tories have grasped how vital that is at this point

Things the electorate won't remember in ten years:
- internal politicking within the current parliamentary party

Things the electorate will remember:
- how the Tory govt gave away British sovereignty for nothing
- £39 billion they will still be paying
