iphone4, beta 3 was my first attempt at this (if bt is the only thing not working, idc i don't use it anyways!) and it all worked perfectly, very impressive!! Very thankful! I wish you guys took donations, because you all deserve it for your work! Something I really liked- you guys released a beta! In the past, I know the dev team didn't want to release any preleases/RC's because so many people would have trouble with it and mess things up, that you didn't want to have to offer support for it. I'm really excited to see this step in a new direction, because for the tons of us that can handle something like this, you make our lives so much easier!

If you release the tethered version, then I were to use it and download a theme or two, maybe some apps, etc etc, what happens if I rebooted and then reapplied the patch? Would I lose all that stuff?

Musclenerd, I'm on your side here to not give an ETA and I'm not going to bug you for a release, but what I think you should have done is released the tool with a disclaimer saying the dev team offers no support with it. Do what you think you can with it and if you fuck up your device, it's your own fault. It's not like people reboot every second either. Just my opinion. I fully respect what you did, and obviously I'm excited. I'm respecting the fact you want to wait, so good luck on the search for a new exploit. :) But heres my idea: can't you utilize the already-found exploit to install a custom firmware? In which case, couldn't that firmware contain that patched kernel necessary to the redsn0w patch? Probably a stupid comment, but in my non-technological mind, it make's sense. :P Thanks again Musclenerd!

It's pretty simple. They downloaded the source code and ssh'd it onto the device. Set permissions, and done. AODHAN: shut the fuck up. you don't deserve a jailbreak. they didn't release it yet so retards like you don't fuck up their touch then go crying into the irc for hlep you you did nothing wrong and something just happened. so shut the fuck up and fuck off.
