Due to the fact that Nintendo games are developed in house Nintendo doesn't have to pay anyone and split profits. Sell a game for $60.00 after all is said and done they are making about $35 - $40 for every Wii U game sold. Same goes for 3DS. The profit is smaller but they move a lot of software. The funny thing is people knock the online system and the Indie scene on the Wii U but Nintendo and Indie Developers are making good money. At the end of the day Numbers aside if the Wii U reaches and surpasses gamecube Numbers Nintendo off their own games will make a nice piece of change. Nintendo isn't doing so well in Japan with the home console so I think it's time for some gaming reverse psychology. It seems that in america we crave the games that aren't given to us but the hype is real based off of what we can't have we want. A good example is fatal frame. What we need is to have the game released here to build excitement in Japan. If Nintendo wants that Money here is what I recommend. 1 Mario HD compilation this includes Galaxy 1.2 and Mario sunshine HD. 2. Metroid HD Collection - that includes all the Metroid games developed by rare and other M also. 3. Starfox HD collection . 4. Fatal frame HD collection. These games should be included with the new games they release for a nice bargain price. One thing I notice is that Nintendo games tend to sell better when there is extra value added in the form of free kick backs. Buy the new Starfox get the HD pack for free same for Metroid and so on and so forth. But do the Mario Kart 8 promotion or bundle it as a free download game while supplies last to push system sales.
