I worked for the federal government for many years. Managers never decreased their budget for the following year because that meant they would get much less allocated to them and to continue along that vein would mean a steadily decreasing amount of funds every succeeding year to follow. A recent article in one of our newspapers pointed out how inefficient our hospitals are run and as a result are much more costly. I also feel that the current administration and Democrats in Congress have ignored some sensible rational ideas presented by Republicans. I do not see evidence of serious partisinship being practiced by most Democrats on this issue. I feel that our federal government under either Republicans or Democrats has done a poor job running Medicare, allowing all manner of fraudulent billing to run rampant.
