Your comment pretty much sumarizes why we have such a huge racial divide in this country. It's the pink elephant in the room.

I happen to be one of those people who couldn't give a crap what color a persons skin is, yet I find it difficult for me to have close relationships with black people. It's not so much about race as it is about their attitude.

Nothing agrivates me more than people (of ANY race) playing the victim card. Yes, there are other people who do this, but blacks seem to pull this one out any time something happens to them that they don't like. I rarely hear people in the black community encouraging people to take personal responsibility for their lives. It's all about blaming someone else or complaining about what was done TO them.

I'd sure like to see more black leaders come out with a positive message instead of the constant negative stuff. Maybe it would change race relations for the better.

I flying back home a few days ago and had the opportunity to sit next to one of the Seattle Seahawks. I asked him what he thought of the whole Michael Vick story and how he thought it impacted fans perception of professional football players.

I was a bit surprised at his response. He said "If this had been anyone else, they'd have never cared. They made an example out of him because he was a big shot and all of the public outcry." So there was no condemnation of what he did or any regrets at how it hurt the team or NFL.

All I can say is, I found myself completely dumbfounded that this could be viewed as so "ho-hum" by other players.

I don't agree with Mr. Jackson on a lot of things politically, but let's all remember that this is a fellow human being here. The fact that he's got some emotional problems and is getting treatment for those is a good thing.

My hope is for him to have a speedy recovery - irrespective of his political future.

Sad, but true. The workload has to be insane right now with the number of shootings that have been happening lately. I would imagine the police are overwhelmed and these punks are getting away with murder... for now. I'm hopeful that the long arm of the law will eventually catch up to the people responsible.

I never understand why people do this. If you're in so much emotional pain that you want to end your life - fine. But don't take everyone else with you. There's just no reason for that.

My prayers are with the friends and relatives.

What a piece of garbage. Thank goodness someone spotted him and were able to point him out to the cops before anythin more could happen.

I hope the owner of the deli gives these city workers a free lunch for the good deed.

As for the two crooks - enjoy the weekend in jail. While we'd all like to see you spend a little more time in there, the revolving doors of justice will likely have them out in no time :(

Unless there were obvious signs of trauma, the man could have died from a heart attack or some other medical condition that would have caused him to be in the middle of the parking lot.

I'm sure the mans friends and family members are anxiously awaiting the results from the autopsy. Hopefully, there wasn't any foul play and they can have closure relatively quickly.
