Agreed Skinny Chris. Onouha and Bellamy anyone ? Whatever happens I think we will sign another striker and honestly I reckon in about a weeks time we will have signed the Yak for about £8M, I have a feeling about this in my water !!!!

Maybe we will still sign them both lol To be fair I think either of these players would be a step in the right direction and a far cry from sigining the likes of Mido. I would happily welcome either of them to Upton Park and look forward to watching the goals fly in this season (ever the optimist!).

I think Remy would have come to us if we had agreed a deal with Nice. However, he has neve come out and said that he would love to play for us so not overly bothered if he signs for Stoke. Sulejmani on the other hand has come out and said he wants to play for us so I know who I would prefer ! As some of you have said Sulejmani has more potential anyway and I think it would be a very exciting signing should we persuade Ajax to let us take him.

West Ham Till I Die : Let's All Play 'Guess the Team'!

It's nice to actually have 'good' options of different players to choose from isn't it ? Don't think we could have had this debate last season. Grant is building his own team which will mean bringing new faces in and players that he believes will make the difference. If some go then I guess we will have to trust his judgement although I don't think there will be to many tears if Spector was to depart lol.

Not sure why so many people are selecting Faubert as right back. I don't think Grant see's him as a defender and has been playing him further up field in his preferred position.

Agree with you Braderz except I would play Piquionne instead of Diamanti, who I would probably bring on in the second half.

Another young Ghana player attracting attention has been Annan. I doubt it would be him though as I think he is a holding midfield player. Gyan scored 14 goals in 41 matches last season, not too bad a return !

Another thought could be Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean striker. Quick, skilfull and young. Maybe we have already knocked the Remy deal on the head and are now on the hunt for as big a deal. Of less excitment, what about Hassan Yebda the Algerian midfield player. I only say that as I believe he was on loan at Pompy last season.

Exciting stuff indeed. I would put my money on it being KP from Pompy. He certainly did his country proud in the World Cup. I hope it is, that would be a good signing in my eyes. Would actually really like it to be Honda from Japan, he looked class. Hope we are not all dissapointed !

West Ham Till I Die : Parker Looking Forward to Working with Avram Grant!

Does Harry know that we are going to surprise a few people in the transfer market because we have already been in touch with Spurs over possible players. We know Avram is a huge fan of Jamie O'Hara's and there has been speculation of us being interested in Pavlyuchenko. Just a thought !

I did hear a few weeks back that we has been linked with a French striker called Andre-Pierre Gignac. He is reportedly valued at approx £12M, so it could be him ??? He is in the French World cup squad and came on as a sub in their first game. He looks like quite a powerful striker and currently plays for Toulouse, is 24 years old and scored 24 goals in 2008-2009 season. Other than that I do not know much else about him. I cannot see that we would actually pay £15M for Henry at his age.........would we ?

Braderz. Maynard could well be worth a gamble at £4M, he looked classy in the fizzy pop league. Interesting to note that he originally came from the Crewe Acadamy, just like Ashton. If we did take the risk I would also hope that we bring in a more proven striker as well who has played at a hgher level. Not sure if Bergessio is that man by the sounds of it. Maybe if we kept Cole and Diamanti along with Maynard, Hines and one other we would be ok. Agree on both Belhadj and Boateng, both players would slot in nicely to our squad and add some real competetion for starting places. Be interesting to see if we can pull off the Riquelme sigining too, that would be fantastic and most Hammers I speak to are really excited by the prospect.

West Ham Till I Die : Juan Roman Riquelme Rumour Resurfaces!

Jolly. Fully agree with you, Riquelme is world class and would be an amazing signing. He would transform our midfeild and create so many chances for us. He can still play at the top level for another 2/3 years easily. I really hope this transfer comes off. Would be dissapointed if Belhadj went to Lazio, he would have also been a great signing for us. Anyone know much about the Argentinian striker we have been linked with, Bergessio ?

Would love for us to secure the deal for Riquelme. He is the sort of player we have been missing in our squad the last couple of seasons.....................a creative midfield player. We have our defensive and holding midfield players but have lacked that flair in the final third and boy will this guy give us that. My only concern now is old Harry boy stating that Riquelme is indeed a great player who he admires but it looks like he will be joining West Ham. Next thing he will have signed for Spurs !!!

We can afford their wages as there would be no signing fee. What we would have to spend on the transfer of a player would be made up instead by higher wages which over the period of the players contract would roughly amount to what a player who was not on a free. i.e. we get Henry for free instead of forking out £7/8M on the Yak. Also to bear in mind is that we would then have to pay the Yak a decent wage on top of that transfer fee. Finally, either of these signings would generate a huge amount of money for the club in the form of merchandise. I see these deals as an excellent oppurtunity for the club to move forward without taking a high risk as both players are proven in the Premiership and anyone who says Henry is past it needs their head checked ! As you say though both are unlikely to happen and I hope that we are seriously looking elsewhere.
