The student body felt down the past couple of days because we felt like we lost something that meant a lot. Some of us came here only because of what Penn State stood for but now its like we stand for nothing only because the media has portrayed us to be an embarrassment. Jerry Sandusky is barely informed in the media news cast because he is not what represents Penn State. Joe Paterno represents Penn State and that's why they needed to take the public to his attention because Joe Paterno is Penn State. I feel like if people knew the real facts, they would understand Joe Paterno did tell someone of high authority and that it was Penn States decision as a whole to keep it under warps. It wasn't just Joe Paterno but Penn State as a whole felt that it was necessary to make sure this wasn't going to hit public news till now because of what it could do to our image. Penn State is angry because of the way this situation was handle led but yet Joe Paterno shouldn't have to suffer publicly because he did what was necessary and he was only listening to higher authority.
Penn State student body will fight to we get our coach back. I cannot wait till the Jerry Sandusky’s court date because the whole story in detail will be be released and lets hope that they will make Joe Paterno look like a good person. People need to realize they can’t listen to what the media says because that it was tarnish the Muslims. Me being a Muslim has experience this twice! It sucks that the meia has so much power to make people that represent something feel so bad. Penn State students feel lost because of the media and that is why they reacted the way they did at the riot. Its hard to see our image go down the drain and the media talking about how it will take years for our us to even gain a little of our image back.

A lot of Americans don't like the fact that immigrants come to America to only get an education and go back to their country so that other countries could benefit off of their 150,000 investments in an education. For that reason a lot of countries that were third world are now second world for this reason. People from other countries take advantage of this because they only want their country to only get better. Americans don't like the face that they can off an education to immigrants in hopes that they use that education in America. This is not morally right because America is offering choices for people in other countries and it's a good opportunity for these countries because they can later do business with America when they become a 1st world country.
Immigrants don’t see how they affect the economy because they think they do the jobs that Americans wont do. This is true but immigrants should pay taxes because social goods are paid by tax payers and its not right if they open a park in a city for a certain number of people but little do they know that the city consists of 25% immigrants which makes them expand the park because there is not enough room for every kid to play in the jungle gym. That's a lot of money we are wasting on immigrants because we could be using that money for research and development for our country just like the Chinese did in the past, which makes what they are today. But if it makes it better for the persons live, I am personally not going to stop them because no one wants to see other people suffer while you’re living your life which no financial problems. The only argument I have for immigrant benefits is that we could do business in the future with countries that have good natural resources with the people that were educated in America but live in the country where they came from. I hope immigrants can accomplish these goals because then the whole world will benefit if we all work together.

The fact of the matter is that there is always going to be illegal immigrants in our country because there are plenty of jobs that citizens do not want to do but immigrants will. They do take care of the hard jobs that don't check paper work of this immigrants because they know its already hard to find people to fill these jobs. Immigrants need to take faster steps of finding ways to become a citizen because they can pay taxes which will help out country grow. They still account for people in our country but make them useless because they aren’t contributing to making our country a better place. The US has to spend more money on border control because of how appealing the United States is to immigrants, which makes us spend more money on that rather than other social goods. We have to cut down our spending or increase our spending by making more immigrants citizens. Its hard to find ways around this because people ae always going to immigrate and its out of our country when someone just wants their freedoms and opportunity.
As long as they aren’t suffering I think its not okay for them to illegally come to our country. But if they have no choice of opportunity, I don't want to be the reason why they cant just live to basic life standards in the United states. I hope other countries can find ways to keep their citizens in their own country. If Mexico has good job opportunity, they wouldn't need to illegally immigrate to our country. Countries need to prevent people from leaving their country because they can come together as people as think of ideas to make their country better. I hope they figure out ways to make better opportunities for their people of their country

When I moved to the suburbs when I was 15, I started to hang out with a crowd of all white people. We were all in the football team, so we were really close because we all stood for one name when were on the football field. It seemed like that off the field too because my team mates always insisted on hanging out which was a cool experience in my life. I don't think they thought I was a poser because why would they call me to hang out. I would understand if I was in a situation where I had to always call them to just hang out or them treating me differently compared to their close friends because they always treated me with as much respect as their close friends. The school I went to was mostly rich White and Korean people which made the school less diverse than the inner city middle school that I went to. There was some racism because there were hardly any black people there but yet they accepted me with open arms even though I was brown. So I'm sure if more black people came to the school they would be treated the same way. Southern California is known to be diverse so it's a social norm and people already know what they are getting themselves into. I would understand if I was leaving in the South but I don't know how the diversity is there so I have nothing to compare it too. Southern California deals with a lot of racial conflicts between people of the same ethnicity. Like Korean vs. Chinese. or Armenians vs. Turks.

I look at white people as the same as me. I look at any other races the same as mine because we go through the same experiences

Girls always go out and buy lame gifts for their boyfriends that they ever wear because its something that the girl would like to see their boyfriend wearing but the boyfriend thinks differently. Girls always like tighter shirts on guys but guys think that makes them look feminine unless they’re metro and okay with it. Girls do have the right to buy their boyfriends gifts that they would want to see them wear but sometimes you have to ask your boyfriend what he truly likes, so both can get satisfaction from the gift. Sometimes I wonder if girls want us to dress up all the time but I honestly don't have enough clothes to do so because I never thought about that growing up. Men are simple when it comes to clothing. Its either they like the shirt or they don't. Trying it on might make a difference but If the shirt is cool enough they will buy it regardless if its big on them.
I think girls should continue what they’re doing because it does impress the guy. Girls do look at how other guys dress but when it comes down to it, its all about the personality. Dressing up does show a little bit of your personality but not enough to make very interested in someone. Just like any other relationship it takes a conversation to spark up an interest.

There are lot of stereotypes for Asians but most of them aren’t true. Asians aren’t bad drivers, its just the Asian drivers that people come across are old and most old people are bad drivers. Another misconception a lot of people have about Asians is that they are very smart, especially in math. Its not true because it might just be the Asian culture where we are known to be strict and classy which makes us perfect everything we do. At the same time, there is a misconception on how we are clean, because most Asian houses are clean but you will come across a dirty Asian house. So stereotypes should never justify a race because everyone is different when it comes down to individuality.
Stereotypes should never be used because people tend to think wrongly of different cultures. We are all people and it’s sad to see people not make friends because they’re scared of these stereotypes. I hope that one day we won’t have to look at the stereotype before we judge the person. Before all have different values and morals and that's what we should judge before judging the person. Stereotype will always be there because people need to judge before doing something because its natural instinct. I hope one day that people can also hire individuals based on personal morals and values and not based off of stereotypes because some people don't get hired based of their race. Hiring has always been a problem for different races because of these stereotypes. I hope that we can test them based off of their morals and values.

Clorene Baise and her business deserve more recognition on the quality shirts they’re making. Although the prices of the things she was selling were kind of of a surprise for me because they priced at prices like 10 dollars for a shirt and 25 dollars for a bag. When I think of Haiti, I think of cheap prices for all goods since it's a third world country. If Haitians were to find an efficient and cheaper way to make their goods, they would offer their goods in cheaper prices, which would bring good business to their management.
For the lady who makes all her own treats with out all of the utensils a typical bakery would have is very impressive because they get the job regardless. But if they were to have appliances to make baked goods easier would increase sales because they can sell it at cheaper prices.
I think it's a good idea that we could find ways to donate money to Haiti to fund for their hospital staff. Haiti do need more supplies and find ways to directly trade with countries instead of being the bottom of the trade. We need to continue to find ways to improve their ways.
I agree with Sam on finding ways to help their trade because it's the number one way a country can expand their economical power. It is hard for a third world country to improve but its been done because countries like in the pacific have started to grow economically. Haitians just need a good source of income or even help from another country. Why can’t we find a country that will invest into Haiti and receive profits after Haiti has improved. They are many good ideas out there but there’s need to be one where everyone agrees and sticks to. People don't really know how Haitians live so that might be the first step is to let people know the problem so that everyone is aware.
