NealS, thank you! As a Christian I can still appreciate and tolerate your, and Dave's, honest and thoughtful belief systems. Too many times we get caught up in the hair raising emotional conflicts of religious talk when in truth, many people of many different faith's, and even non-faith's like Dave's, can relate, discuss, and learn from each other without the need to become offended. Dave is obviously a thoughtful, intelligent, and caring individual who I believe God loves. We should all love him too. Thanks for your thoughtful contributions.

You "young Americans" who spout "a different set of political values" need to study past history. There has never been a socialist government that produced prosperity for it's people the way our democratic republic has been able to accomplish. There has never been a socialist government that, at some point, did not oppress and hold down, at least a portion of it's population. Are we perfect? Absolutely not. But we are the most free society on the planet. We provide the finest health care on the planet to our people and to others who come to us for help when they can't get it from their government. Those who are "poor" here would be considered wealthy in many countries who spout the same "set of political values" that you socialists profess. How do we gain any ground on the issues we face when the liberal media is bent on pushing the government agenda? Pres. Obama has been allowed two prime time press conferences with complete coverage since his inauguration a mere three months ago. If you remember, Pres. Bush was continually denied prime time air time by all the networks except FOX. We must begin this movement by protesting the media's lack of coverage of the middle ground of thought in this country!
I'd like to know how he rates two prime time press conferences in 3 months and Pres. Bush had to beg for his air time. His last night time speech wasn't even covered by any network except Fox! The media must be held to account! We must protest their one-sided coverage of the issues in our country!
