At least the Premier Divison in Ireland gets some (if minimal) coverage. No such chance for the 1st divison where my team lies at the moment. And people wonder why the attendances for the games are so poor.

Phil, I was at the Bayern v City match in Munich and to be honest Bayern took their foot off the gas in the 2nd half of that game. They have the strength and depth to change games which will be a factor if they are to win the Champions League again.

I've been in the Amsterdam Arena and the way the fans are "contained" is probably due to their hooligan problem (for those who haven't been there there's a moat around the pitch and a net between the away end fans where the home fans are). It's hard to believe the person who fell into the moat was trying to interfere with the away fans. Look at the guy who fell from an upper tier of a stand a couple of weeks ago after sliding down the handrail. That was self inflicted after acting the maggot.

Podolski also has a great strike record for Germany so don't count him out playing up front in next years World Cup. As PaulD says, the Germans have great attacking midfielders. Out of the 9 goals they scored against Ireland in 2 games their midfielders scored 5 of those goals with Reus (2), Schurrle and Klose scoring the goals as strikers.

Football kid, as a Harps fan who lives away from home I read loads of comments from friends of mine who were at the match about the officials. It seems like the top brass don't want a minnow team like Finn Harps to get any further in the cup. Hopefully we can do what we did against in Cobh in the last round and punish Drogheda in their own back yard. Up the Harps.

Great win for my team Finn Harps last night. After conceeding a late equaliser against Cobh at the weekend and to bounce back with a performance like that tonight says a lot about the character of the team. A home draw against Drogheda will surely get the crowds into Finn Park. Who knows maybe RTE might show it since there's a possibilty of an upset (plus we are the only 1st division team left in the competition). Anyway I'm sure all those matches will produce more excitement than what was on display last night on Sky Sports.
