The electoral college does NOT make voting "fair and equal." Forget about states and parties. If you want YOUR vote to count, then it should be actual number of votes that elect a president. The members of the electorial college are NOT all required to vote according to their constituency - they CAN cast a vote that does not reflect the populous in their state. Also, electronic voting is EASY to skew - records can be changed and locating those discrepancies is nearly if not impossible. As for the Commandments on the steps of the courthouse - I was referring to a specific incident a couple years back where there already was a sculpture with the 10 Commandments taken right out of the Christian Bible that were already there in front of a courthouse and had been for some time. An atheist took issue with it and sued and won. The judge ruled in his favor and the 10 Commandment statue was dismantled and carted away. Not sayng all courthouses should have this - but good grief, people, let's stand up and fight FOR our religious freedom when people who don't even believe in God in the first place try to take it away.

(16) On unsecured loans, banks need to work with people when they hit a bump in the road. Stop payments while unemployed (and stop the credit too). Resume credit the day payments resume. Negotiate smaller interest rates. Negotiate reductions in principal owed as a last resort, but only if an accountant has assessed the personal financial siutation and explained to the credit company why this is necessary (i.e., person was in an accident and can never work again, etc.) (17) We have to go back to living by COMMON SENSE and rules that reflect some kind of MORALITY and COMPASSION toward one another.

(15) If a bank lends money that is secured by real property, and if the person who borrowed the money cannot pay (lost job, etc.) then the person should be able to hand back the real property to the bank and that should be the end of it. No lawsuits, etc. The banks need to share the risks with the person they are loaning to. If the person doesn't pay, the bank gets the asset, end of story. If the asset's value has gone down, too bad. Share the risk. True, the bank loaned that money. But it is not the property owner's fault if there is a housing bubble that burst either. The risk has to be shared. Both end up sorry if it doesn't work out - homeowner is homeless. Bank is out some of the money it loaned. So, carry insurance to guard against this. But no more calling people 10 and 12 times a day who are out of work and no more suing them for huge sums of money they can never pay AFTER the bank owns the property and sells it for what it can get. This is what causes peope to lose it. It is skewed in the bank's favor. Share the risk on secured loans.

(11) Follow the Geneva conventions. If a terrorist operates without a uniform and in ways that do not abide by the Geneva conventions, gloves are off. Waterboard - drown them if you have to. Get the info that saves American lives. Geneva Convention rules apply to prisoners of war from countries that ALSO abide by the conventions - NOT to terrorists. (12) Arm ship captains and shoot pirates as they approach. A few shootings and they'll quit their hijackings. (13) Give Americans a period of amnesty to sort out their financial messes. Allow them to give back bad assets that are secured by real property and to negotiate a settlement on unsecured debt that they can pay. After amnesty period is over (read about Jubilee in the Bible), everyone has to pay what they agreed to pay henceforth. (14) Get rid of credit reporting or revamp the system. People pay the wrong things and make poor choices to maintain their credit ratings. It's like scaring little kids by telling them something is going into their "permanent record" at school. So what. Abolish this nonsense. Get a better system that makes sense.

(7) No lifetime pensions for Congress members. Gone, starting NOW. (8) Abolish the federal reserve OR make it accountable to public scrutiny - no secrets allowed. (9) Declare the U.S. bankrupt. Now. Pay what can reasonably be paid and wipe the slate clean and start over. No baby should be born with a tax liability. That is RIDICULOUS. (10) Bring home ALL military other than those stationed at bases established for quick reaction times just in case. Get out of Iraq and let them worry about their own country. Fight to win and after you've won or lost, go home. It is not our responsibility to pick up the pieces. They would NOT do the same for us.

(4) No bills introduced to the floor of Congress until a synopsis (fair and balanced) is published in a major newspaper in every state for a minimum of three weeks prior to EVERY bill going to the floor. NO SNEAKY LEGISLATION THAT PASSES IN THE NIGHT OR OVER THE WEEKEND. Give the people a chance to contact their Congressional representatives and voice their opinions. And force each Congressional leader to write a paragraph synopsis stating how they voted and why to be published a second time, with the paragaph of each bill, in those newspapers after they have voted. NO VOTING AFTER BUSINESS HOURS, ON WEEKENDS OR ON HOLIDAYS UNLESS AMERICA HAS BEEN ATTACKED IN AN ACT OF WAR. (5) No legislation passing Congress that in any way conflicts with the Constitution. NONE. (6) No more income taxes - flat tax of 10 percent of your earnings OR flat tax of 10 percent of all non-food purchases. If you can eat it and not die, it's food - no debating this. If the church can survive with 10 percent, then so can the U.S. government. If not, then fire anyone who is not willing to take a pay cut.

(1) Abolish the electoral college. (2) No electronic voting - paper only. Checked and counted by two independent sources and stored on microfiche or computer file pdfs (unchangeable) alphabetically, by state and last name for posterity in case a question arises. (3) Put God back into our language and our lives - no banning of prayer in school. No teaching that creationism and evolution are separate events - mesh the two together. No eliminating the 10 Commandments in front of a courthouse - our judicial system was BASED on those commandments.

One final issue ... The original wording called for a three month service from our children. But Rahm Emmanuel (the White House Chief of Staff who wrote a book which is where this came from to begin with) said in an interview (you can watch it on the Internet – it’s easy to find) that he would support it being longer than a three-month servitude if that were asked or required by the government. And, WHILE THEY ARE THERE, I read somewhere - cannot locate the source now and do not know if it is true, but I read somewhere that the government was going to offer these kids money to join the military – outside their parents’ reach and outside parental discussions or influence - while they are in these "camps." Furthermore, there is also discussion about making these camp-based service intiatives mandatory for ALL PEOPLE - not just our kids - but ALL people. This affects us all, but REALLY striked a chord when you talk about our CHILDREN. This bill HAS to be stopped.

Also, I can tell you for CERTAIN that WHEN HR 1444 goes to Congress, it will pass. And I can tell you right now that the commission’s recommendation will be that we make the service mandatory. How do I know that? Because the “camp director” jobs already exist – they just are not filled positions yet. For example, on AmeriCorps’ Web site, are there already “camp director” jobs listed that are not actively taking resumes yet. (I looked in SC and searched under jobs working with children and there are stars next to open jobs and no stars next to positions that are not yet ready to be filled – the “camp director” job was not yet ready to be filled but it was described.) I mean, if HR1444 has not yet passed, and they have not even decided to make this mandatory, why do we need “camp directors” anyway?

Ok … this looks a LOT like the HR1388 bill that recently went through Congress with the word “mandatory” service in it – it passed the House that way but Senate took out the word “mandatory.” At the time, President Obama said he was pleased it passed, but that “we still had work to do.” So, on its heels came a new bill - HR1444 that is being proposed to form an 8-person Congressional committee to study whether or not “mandatory service” by our CHILDREN is a good idea and how to basically quell parents’ unrest when they institute this policy that was taken out of HR1388. I WONDER IF THIS IS WHERE THE 250,000 AMERICORPS JOBS CREATED BY HR1388 ARE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ON AMERICORPS’ WEB SITE.

Look this up and look at the executives on the Board. There are a lot of banking people, Wall Street people, press people – editor of Time, for example. Look at the ties – parent companies of these companies are receiving bail out funds, etc. One of the people on the City Year Board is also associated with another organization called BeTheChange – bethechangeinc.org. Also, ask yourself, where are the 250K jobs promised? Well ... start watching the "City Year" commercials. I could be wrong, but I think the "jobs" created were a way to back end into this servitude for kids. Here's one of them - there are dozens. http://cityyearrhodeisland.wordpress.com/2008/11/... . Apparently, City Year is the group responsible for the creation of AmeriCorps. Sounds innocuous, but it’s not. They want kids – literally high school aged kids – to take a year off and “serve” their communities. While this organization is not new, the advertising is. I have never before seen mainstream television ads on network television for a year-long service program for kids.

H.R. 1388 promised to create 250,000 Americorps jobs and (buried deep in the bill) tried to make it MANDATORY for your KIDS to go to "camps" to be taught about civil service. Away from you. Possibly out of your state. For a MINIMUM of three months. It passed the House but Senate took out the "mandatory" language. I doubt it. True, but I doubt it. But can we declare bankruptcy? That would put a temporary stay on all spending by the government and give a Board of Trustees the right to go back 90 days and reverse any monetary decisions that were not in the best interest of the petitioner, right? So HOW do we do this? Anyone?????
