Does anybody know, if (and how) I can save SHSH blops for the current 7.0.6 (for iPhone 4)? TU has not been updated yet. - Not sure if notcom will be that fast? (BTW, I'm on Mac only) And the next question would be: Is there a possibility yet, to downgrade to 7.0.4 (with SHSH, ofc!)

Installing Windows via Bootcamp is NOT VMware. VM(fusion) is just like Parallels or Crossover. These things are "Windows Emulators". Installing Windows via Bootcamp is different! That should work, I think.... I'll let you know, when I have a Windows CD to install.

No, unfortunately not. Only Macs in this area. But I will try to install Windows via Bootcamp - that should be, like a "real" PC. (I hope so...)

Yea, that's what I said. Unfortunately - I have no "real" PC. My question was, if this is stil not possible with a Mac.... As it seems - it still isn't possible! All I can do is trying to install Windows native with Bootcamp. Maybe then I'll have success.... It doesn't work with Parallels.
Trying to downgrade an iPod Touch 4G to 6.1.2 on Mac! I do have the correct SHSH for 6.1.2 with valid AP Tickets. (Redsnow states so, and iFaith does it also on Windows emulation) Unfortunately I have no success to restore. Even not with the stitched .ipsw. About half a year ago, I had a simular problem, and I've been told that only a "real" Windows Computer with iFaith are able to do that job. Is that still true by now? Really no way to Downgrade on a Mac? The Problem is, I do only have y couple of Macs here - but absolutely NO Windows. I do have Parallels with an old Win XP - but as mentioned - i've tried that also with no success. Any advice please?

Thanks for the reply. I found 3 SHSH's: 6.1, 6.1.2 and 6.1.3. The 6.1.3 was saved by me with TU. And unfortunately, this is the only valid SHSH. The others have no valid Ticket, because they were saved in cydia, I guess. I don't understand, why people jailbreak, and no saving SHSH properly. TU is very famous over all platform these days, and it works! At the moment, there seem to be really no way to downgrade this iPod. I know the possibility of tethered JB with 6.1.3 (pointing to 6.0 in redsn0w). - Thanks

iFaith (and Sn0wbreeze) displays: "The provided apticket does not look valid! .... will refuse to build an IPSW with this apticket, as it may put your device in an inuseable state!" Does that mean, the SHSH 6.1.2 I have is useless? Even if redsn0w said "APticket is present and valid". This iPod is not mine - so I don't know who and how the 6.1.2 SHSH has been saved. I just grabed it with TinyUmbrella (from Cydia). I just know, that this iPos hasn't been actually jailbreaked. it's on 6.1.3 now - without a JB. So I wonder, how the 6.1.2 has been saved, if not with TU!

Yea, it's a pity that redsn0w hasn't been updated yet. - And yes, I already tried on an old Win Computer. - For 3 hours... (First had some issues .net framwork related, so iFaith didn't start).... Then later on, I finally managed, that iFaith starts, but refuses to downgrade, because there is something wrong with SHSH! (huh) Even, if redsn0w says, Ticket ist present and valid! (How comes?) Next, I'll try sn0wbreeze (but I think there will be the same, as it's from the same dev. I think, it's a fact, that I can not use the stitched custom Firmware I made with redsn0w. Correct? Because iTunes wouldn't let me install this CFW. (I think it's not a matter of a wrong hosts....) So, if I'm right - this stitched Firmware is useless at the moment. Right?

Downgrade iPod Touch 4 from 6.1.3 to 6.1.2 (SHSH for 6.1.2 saved) on a Mac! Hi, is it really impossible to do this on a mac currently? I mean, I tried almost everything. Redsn0w says, APticket (for the 6.1.2 SHSH ist present and valid), but can not downgrade. It stuck on "Waiting for device" (with Apple Logo for > 15 Minutes) Tried to stitch the shsh into the 6.1.2 original Fimrware - success! But iTunes doesn't like this custom FW! Is there really no way atm to downgrade on a Mac?

In the meantime, I could answer it all by myself: I installed 5.2 on this Apple TV with seas0npass 0.9.0 (ctrl-klick and choose 5.2), shsh must be saved to cydia obviously. After a few errors (21, 1601, etc....) I finally got it. Now it's on 5.2 and XBMC is also up and running! (XBMC 12.2) Everything fine! Have a nice sunday, all of you!

Yea, I know that too :-) Well I save SHSH all the time for all my Devices. Unfortunately, it's a bit more complicated on an AppleTV. That's the reason, why people are too lazy to do that. (You know, getting a proper micro USB cable, get it finally in DFU....) If they do, the value of a device can easily double! In this case, I had luck to find shsh's on cydia. Thanks to the unknown person, who saved those! Well, if somebody could still give a reccomendation, if I should stay on jailbroken 5.0.2 or use one of the newer 5.1 or 5.2? (No 5.1.1 shsh saved!) XMBC should work. But I'm not sure, if it does on 5.2? Anybody??

Ha, what a lucky guy... He bought that thing "used". The one before had saved SHSH to Cydia! So I got 3 SHSH's from Cydia for this Apple TV2: 5.0.2, 5.1 and 5.2. After a few 1600, 1603, 1604 errors, I finaly got Firmware 5.0.2 on that device, and jailbreaked it with seasonpass 0.9.0 (right click, and choose the stitched 5.0.2) So, he's really lucky! One last question: Should I stick with that jailbroken 5.0.2 (XMBC and Plex should work without a problem), or do you reccomend to update to 5.1 or 5.2? As far as I know, there is no XMBC for the 5.2 Firmware, is that correct? Or is Frodo running on 5.2 by now?

Well thanks for your reply. Still not sure... I've seen, there's a new seas0npass 0.9.0 out, for 5.2.1 (6.1.3) but this is tethered only - and that's more than stupid for an AppleTV! My personal AppleTV is on good 5.1 and I'll keep it. But I'm asking for a friend's device. I think, he never has made an SHSH save. (He used it rarely) He just told me, that the Firmware is on 5.2.1 now - and no SHSH. - Just in case, I have to restore it, I think, I will not have any luck to restore to 5.1 or 5.2 without SHSH blops. Is this correct? So by now (today) the only option would be to restore to 5.2.1 (tethered). - That's what I guess. But I'm not sure... Was hoping somebody could tell me good news. Or is Apple still signing 5.2 or 5.1? I don't think so.

I've got a short question... I know, the AppleTV 2. Gen. is jailbreakable. Is ist still jailbreakable now, even if there is no SHSH saved for it? I mean, Apple released iOS 6.1.3 to destroy the iDevices JB. But is Apple still signing the 5.2 (6.1) for Apple TV2??? Then Seas0nPass 0.8.9 would be the goal. But I'm not quite sure, if I still can restore to the 5.2. Please let me know, if that is still working... Thanks in advance! Warren

Thanks to everyone who helped. I finaly managed it. Could JB and hacktivate it with redsn0w, pointing to 6.0 - tethered. Even if 6.1 was still installed! Then i used evasi0n to jailbreak it again, and got Cydia on it. Now it's untethered jailbroken, and hacktivated. That's what I wanted! Thanks, thanks, thanks! If somebody can reccomend an IMEI unlocker for french orange, please let me know. What I found with google was much too expensive. > 100,- EUR...

I used the latest redsn0w b3. Restarting was a good idea. Even redsn0w couln't get it out from recovery loop. But now iTunes does it's job (doing a fresh resore to 6.1) in process right now. - So I get rid off the loop. But it will be still not activated when it's finished. In the meantime, I tried to create a custom 6.1 with sn0wbreeze 2.9.9 on an old WinXP over Prarallels Desktop, but also with no success. This App hangs on the latest step Creating IPSW...
Thanks slavakulikoff for your quick answer. Basicly I know what you talking about, but I can't make it. Still trying. Using redsn0w 0.9.15b3 right? I have all here, what you said, I need. I have the right 6.0 Firmware, etc... But what exactly should I choose? I can't get to this point, where I choose ramdisk method,.... I remember that I've seen this before, but right now, I don't get it! So what do I choose in the main redsn0w? jailbreak, oder extras? Basicly I just want to "activate" this device, which is on 6.1. Jailbreaking ofc later with evasi0n. But first I need to activate the phone..... Thanks again for your help Edit: I just seen your edit... I don't want to unlock it. Because it has already an unlockable BB before he updated it to 6.1. It was on a 5.x Fimrware (but custom...) All I want to do is activate
