I will second Solitary Dan's comment...Epic! And not only demonstrably true but refreshing to hear it uttered here. I commend you sir!

Big Hollywood : The Divinely Sad Bunny Rabbit: Christopher Hitchens

Moriarty takes the phrase " diarhhea of the mouth" to all new limits. I envision him sitting in his Canadian home, lonely and bitter at how his career has stalled, and deciding to write yet another disjointed article for BH. Most great or even good writers determine in advance the thrust of their story and then try to write in a manner that is easily read. Moriarty, on the other hand, seems to suscribe to the notion that you just write any and all random thoughts as they pop into your head, sentence structure and narrative be damned! I am an old school conservative and I enjoy about half of the articled I read on BH. The other half are what I would classify as the " Liberal Boogeyman behind every bush" variety. But Moriarty's articles are just a vainglorious jumble of words from a man that is obsessed with his own psuedo-intelligence. Thumb me down all you want BH readers, but some of you know I'm right

Hate to break it to you Blue, but I am that rarest of creatures, namely a Conservative atheist. I don't want to see Under God We Trust on my money, but it doesn't offend me either. Although I'm not a believer, I think that religion (moderately practiced) is a nice buffer to our baser instincts. We have freedom OF religion and no matter how many times you protest to the contrary, it is not freedom FROM religion. I don't have the right to NEVER see religious displays, or NEVER hear prayers in the public forum. I DO have the right to not join said religion or have it imposed on me. I think if you screaming ACLU types would just live by the simple rule of "Chill out, it's just words to us, prayers to them" life might be a little better in the good ol' U S of A

Pal, I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you. As my D.I. liked to say "Sometimes, just sometimes, things ARE as simple as black and white" But of course, libprogs like you have to fade them to grey, in an effort to confuse and dilute. Now, I do have a suggestion for you. Should you decide to use you very extensive vocabulary for good, you might want to actually do some critical thinking instead of just regurgitating tired liberal memes. Have a quality day, I'm off to excercise my 2nd Amendment right!

Hey Blue, I've got the feeling that you are more than a little self-satisfied at your ability to incorporate words like "heliocentric" and "intercessory genies" into what shouls be a simple discussion of the Founder's and the Constitution's original intent. The facts of the matter remain; namely that we ARE a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles (used as the underlying buttress for our laws), that it is widely and correctly understood that the Creator referred to is God, and that liberals have long put forth the notion of the Constituion as a "living document" not as a way of describing the amendment process, but as a back door to erroneously intrepreting it to fit their ideology. I just wish unemployment would get better so that you wouldn't have as much time on your hands to propagate your rubbish here! (of course, that assumes you would work if given the chance!)
