Well I hope you get your jab early April. That will give you after 3 weeks well over 50% protection which will reach around 80% in a few weeks. So by then restrictions should be lifted. If you want to be really cautious that is a matter for you. As a Conservative I think people are capable of deciding for themselves the level of risk they are willing to take. I won't do anything daft myself like going to a large indoor gathering for example but for the young they should be able to get on with their lives.

I had my jab 4 weeks ago ,my wife had hers 2 weeks ago and I will be cautious but come April after our second jabs I expect to live a normal life as we were promised we would be able to do.The pressures on the NHS will have reduced a lot and life must go on. COVID will be here forever so we have to live with it.

I don't agree for the sake of our economy and our youngsters.I had my first jab 4 weeks ago and my wife had hers 2 weeks ago .We will have our second jabs in April with all the other over 70s.I expect when that happens to go to a pub have a meal, to play my bowls, to book a holiday and get on with life.By then most of the over fifties will have had their 1st jabs and any pressures on the NHS will be small. We can never get rid over COVID so we must live with it.

I think you either misread or misunderstood my point. My point is that as the vaccines are working people will not understand why restrictions cannot be lifted!! What is the point of vaccinating everyone if we cannot get back to some normality?

Cases are falling rapidly ,the vaccines appear to be working yet the Government is still in a state of panic. Restrictions need to be lifted not enforced by threatening people with long prison sentences.I cannot believe this is a Conservative government presiding over this disaster. People have been frightened into supporting draconian restrictions but that will change quickly when they realise that the vaccinations they have received make no or very little difference to their lives.

We are not in the EU now.We exercised some of our new freedoms. Excellent and now the EU has proved to be what a lot of us thought it was for years..corrupt and incompetent.

I doubt that lockdowns are popular and they certainly won't be if after us old 'uns have been vaccinated restrictions are still in place. People are fearful and the media make sure that continues but it will change once the vaccination programme has covered everyone over 50 .

Agreed ..we really must do something about the NHS when this is over.It is clearly not fit for purpose as currently managed.

Train all these people doing fairly useless testing into vaccinators as soon as possible. The necessary training could be done in a day.
