/Film : Family Guy Movie On the Cards

I do appreciate some of the humor and unlike most people I find some of their jokes very clever and well thought out.. Granted, there are a lot of stupid gags and jokes that are there for pure entertainment. but I feel a lot of people, including brendon think that its cool now to think of family guy as dumb. I think a musical however would be potentially good.

i still doubt the affect that sky captain had on it.. there were plenty of movies doing it before more effectively (see above).

i completely agree, however, i do think that the direction of films was already going there. I would say if that Attack of the Clones which came out two years prior had just as much if not more influence in terms of technology.

Im not gonna say I dont agree with the majority of the list. Because in reality I do think they are all very significant and well picked films. The problem is as Peter said, I don't four of them. However, Sky Captain? That is the only one I can see myself not remembering in 10 years. I think movies were drifting technologically that way anyway, it just so happened that this mediocre film was released first.

/Film : Discussion: Has Lost Jumped The Smoke Monster?

Im actually in an english class where we discuss LOST on a regular basis. I of course find the show amazing, and the amount of references the show makes is staggering. Not just in terms of character names, etc. but in terms of plot devices and literary technique. Lost is amazing because of small details that people miss, including me, the majority of the time. I dont know if anyone caught the Wizard of Oz reference when John was getting in the canoe to go home. But he smacked his shoes together three times. Thing's like this make me appreciate the incredible level of detail that the writers and crew put into the show. I have complete faith that even when Im confused with the show, that it will all work out in the end. For this reason I didn't necessarily find last nights ending troubling at all. In fact, im glad theyre finally addressing that smoke bastard. Soon enough, we'll all have answers tho, the show only has i think 22 episodes left if I remember correctly. And if they do eff it up, which they might, ill be pissed. But for now ill be a man of faith like john locke.
