Good for Mr. Gaffney. At the first glance of the first sentence of the column, I thought, 'Not another hit piece on World Net Daily!' But, then I re-read it, and saw my mistake. I was very glad to see Mr. Gaffney nailed the problem with CPAC and other so-called "conservative" groups. All the worming-in by clandestine leftist groups like GOProud and people like Norquist and Khan is right out of the divide-and-conquer playbook of the left. Conservatives, don't be deceived!

There is nothing wrong with contemplation on the subject, but there are many very compelling reasons why homosexuals should not serve in our military (links to those reasons are given in my article). But, my point to you in saying the argument about the linguists was fallacious, is that I do not believe there is a huge problem of losing linguists because of the homosexuality rule. For some examples of not-so-mild comments, you can go to this site that found my article yesterday and posted it on their pro-homosexual site for the purpose of screeching about it. It really sounds like there's a terrible rash of this going on! Yes, at least for a while longer, homosexuals are not allowed to serve in our military. Excellent piece, Kent! You're going to get hit with attacks/comments for this fine piece of logic and reason--comments like the one next to mine where Big Rick makes a fallacious point about all these "computer and communications technicians and linguists who speak Dari, Pashto, Arabic and Farsi" who are afraid to join the military because they are homosexual. That's a bogus argument. If there actually were a glut of such people, which I doubt there are, I don't believe they would be clamoring to flaunt their homosexuality in our military. Anyone who takes a stand for the truth about homosexuality is viciously attacked by the homomachine that is working night and day to "normalize" such behavior. I didn't say we shouldn't speak to those with whom we disagree, and my "logic" is not warped, unless you consider Biblical principles to be warped. The distinction is between speaking to people when that discourse may bear fruit and speaking to people who boldly and proudly identify with their sins and embrace them, rather than being repentant and seeking to be free of them. There's the difference, and if you believe that is warped, then I'm sorry for you.

Continued... Jesus is the Word, and the written Word is of Jesus -- He is in it -- it is alive, and is given to us for knowledge, enlightenment, wisdom, and to learn the way to salvation. The Bible is for all of life. Through Jesus, the Bible was made, as through Him all things were made. Salvation comes through belief in, and accceptance of, Jesus' perfect sacrifice on the cross, in our stead, and it is by His grace alone, because there are no "works" or "rituals" that we can do to "earn" salvation, not at all! And, salvation comes by faith (a belief in things not necessarily seen with our physical eyes) and faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the Word of God. In other words, Jesus has to "open" your ears to His message, His Word, for you to be able to "hear" -- to understand -- it. Patrick, I wish you the best. We are wasting our time here, however, because neither of us is going to change our mind. You will continue to think I am "ignorant," and I will continue to believe you are deeply, horribly deceived.

Patrick, You're taking James 2:24 out of context. James is not saying we're saved by faith PLUS WORKS. He is saying that if you have faith in Christ and the Spirit of Christ living in you, you will naturally do "good works." It is a result -- a byproduct -- of faith in Jesus accompanied by His Spirit living within your spirit. James writes, "faith without works is dead," meaning if you claim to have faith but there is no outward evidence of it, your faith is of no avail -- or dead. But, it's not doing "works," per se, that saves you. Continued in next comment...
