It will not get to the legislature for a vote. I don’t think anyone really believed any bill of this nature would be enacted that would have jeopardized even a single vote for the demoncrats. Welfare is simply too large of a voter base for them and another method of buying votes. Politics in this state is not hampered by those pesky principles and values. Nothing really unique here, but these are the ones that I deem the most important. 4 of 13 1 – Term limits for legislators. This would most likely spell doom for the 2 major parties. Legislators would more likely be elected based on their merit and qualifications than party affiliation. 2 – Franchise for tax-payers only. Wards of the state should not have a voice in selecting government office holders. The privilege to vote should be limited to only those that pay for government. 3 – A fair, non-progressive, tax system—either a straight percentage income tax for all, or a national sales tax. Vastly reduce or eliminate the IRS. 4 – All government office holders to participate in the Social Security program. No more privileged retirement system.
