Virginia did say the picture of the Aster said it all, so the location probably is in New England.

I forgot about Kiawah Island, SC. That one came after Midway, UT.

My guess is Vail, Colorado. The Aster is the state wildflower of Colorado. Jack T seems to have a snow skiing theme going on, First there was Vermont, then Midway, Utah, and then Truckee.

All three trees are native to Tennessee. The Tulip Popler, the Scarlet Oak, and the Eastern Hemlock.

I think it is Tennessee also. The number 16 is in the middle of the picture in Clue 1 and is the most prominent number on the crossword puzzle, and after reading DBCoop's post about Nashville being the Athens of the South, it all makes sense. Mary makes the clues for the green home a lot easier than the ones for the dream home. Remember the number 8 in the sand clue for the South Carolina home. Mary gave us the answer in the first clue.
