Yeah, that was confusing to me too. You are right, and there are quite a few other things missing in this story. I was 7 in the 2nd grade. I was 11 in the 6th grade. I cannot imagine the degradation this child suffered to be sexually active in the 2nd grade. I hate the way so many people turned their heads and looked away. There HAD to be signs. Someone HAD to have known before the girl got hooked on Meth and became a felony thief, burglarizing neighbors. No one knew she was having sex at age seven? What about prior to reporting the rape, telling the school counselor she wanted to bring a gun to school and shoot everyone? Just saying, signs were there. Sue didn't do her job

Look at the way a drug felon for burglary and theft, who is now also a missionary in Mexico claims she was sexually active since age 7. How can the system improve? That's what we need. Right! KOMO reported on the radio, "She says she had been engaging in "some kind of sex" since 2nd grade." But I didn't hear that till AFTER I called them. How embarrassing! My point is: She lied then. Why should we believe her now? This woman should be made to substantiate her claim NOW. Claiming to have been sexually active when she was 11 isn't substantiating ANYTHING. The jury of peers failed, and I have no shadow of doubt about it! They failed, and so did the Prosecutor Sue Baur and she should be investigated now. Maybe you are right, and the parents were caught up in their divorce drama. No one knows. That's why, for the sake of Justice the people should DEMAND an explanation for the miscarriage of Justice.

Now, at age 23 she admits to being sexually active in the 2nd grade :( She needs to substantiate her story now! Was she lying then, or is she lying now? Why should anyone believe anything she has to say? If it's true now that her father didn't touch her, what explains the "trauma" the Doctor reported? This woman needs to answer to that! Families who have sexually active 11 year old children should be investigated. Something's NOT RIGHT...

Thanks! What a great answer, and you are so right. I cannot say enough how your rational thoughts and shares has been a beacon of light. I am fighting this fear, as I have been similarly attacked. I don't want it to happen to anyone else. If Mike had not made this public by contacting KPTV, I may never have had hoped for anything to change. Exactly! Any justification for what they did to Mike really irks me. It's horrible, and I hate to think that people are so ignorant as to make excuses for those thugs. For this reason, I have joined prayer and meditation groups to present Mike's case. The prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Some may believe, "an eye for an eye" but that's old school. Kindergarten. It's what makes this so obvious. If everyone went around returning evil for evil would anyone ever be safe anywhere? This is my way of taking a stand for peace. Overcoming evil with good works is just one path to sane living in a messed up situation like this. Mike should be aquitted. He should be found not guilty. His incarceration is my incarceration. I will be free when he is free. I will be glad when those others answer for what did. Until that day I will take this stand. I'm going to "let it go" like Cara's friend says when I am sure all hope is lost. Not before. Not because of other's lack of hope. Not because of fear.

I'm just saying, he's got a concussion, they have a list. If the people who attacked Mike in the woods are ever brought in to answer for their actions that day, then this will begin to make sense. Otherwise, this is just a lesson in who has the upper hand in the wild, wild west. I can't help but think that if the original attack had been reported right away, there wouldn't have been the following insult upon injury.

If they felt safe from retaliation... If they felt they would have protection... I think quite a few would stand up for peace. The stories of violence would put outsider's in shock, but I know many who would have stories to tell if they had the courage to speak out against the haters and the abuse. But that's the problem now, isn't it? Blood is thicker than water, and they are related to half the county. I heard about this clan 20 years ago. It was incomprehensible to me then, but it's reality. It just took me a long time to realize. I pray for this to cause light to shine on this oh so backward community. It was my home too once. I love it still.
