Wow this community is filled with negativity. I have been around this community my whole life, I am the football, track, and baseball captain. I have been arond much of the same attitudes through out. I have can't not believe some of the things I have read on this message board. I would like you to know Mcottos does not hire 'disinterest' high school kids. Being employeed there myself i would like you all to know that most of us are in the tops of our class, active in extra curriculars, and even in NHS. i myself won homecoming king and much of our staff was included on our court. I personally want you to know that we care about our restraunt, i apologize if you have been there and recieved bad service once, but realize the things you are saying now are seen by many people. It looks bad on our community. We all know the troubles we have in many aspects of life here but we do not need to have these things be said. -- Vaughn Takes

Im Vaughn Takes, Football, Track, and Baseball captain. I was the homecoming king and am currently employeed by Mcottos. As for disinterest teens working there?? i believe that to be one of the most IGNORANT statements on this message board. Considering most of the staff are members of the Nation Honor Soceity, voted on the homecoming court by their peers, participants in extra curriculars, and among the top of their class in grades, that doesn't sound like a disinterested teen at all. For all the other negativety, this needs to stop in all aspects of Anamosa. I have been active in athletics in Anamosa for every year of High School, and anyone who knows me knows how hard i have worked. Many of my peers have chosen not to try due to the lack of positive support from this community. I would like to take this opportunity to address all of you on this site to take a look in the mirror and think about what you have been saying about your own community. Try doing something to make it better.
