Dude, I'm really sorry. I accidentally deleted your response while I was trying to cancel my own to redraft it. I just wanted you to know so that you don't think we did it purposely.

I don't believe my response really was that negative. Do you? It was a pretty genuine response given what you posted up, which suggests to me that you were hoping for something worse so you could put up your "made my point" speech at the end.

For the record, constructive criticism isn't "take everyone's money and do something else with it behind their backs!"

Believe it or not, the staff here has higher goals for the website than to make weekly updates for the rest of our lives, living in our parents' basements at the age of 40 and working night shift at Walmart cleaning up pee in the bathrooms. Twilight Symphony is a launching pad for both the site and for the careers of the people involved. It's an enormous library of full length Twilight Princess arrangements that many established names in film and game music have turned their heads to in order to support. We didn't net the PLAY Orchestra gig by accident. We got it as a result of hard work and smart networking. If you can't imagine the possibilities for ZREO that could come through what we've been doing, there's really nothing more I can say.

Everyone in the game audio business knows Jeron Moore. I'm not exaggerating. They ALL know him. You are a rude, ignorant, nameless prick overflowing with a disgusting sense of self entitlement. You never bothered to ask who he was. You jumped on him like a maggot on ice cream.

The idea that certain words are "bad" is juvenile. And had you spent as much time reading what I actually had to say, you might have also seen in the next post that graphics are only one part of a game. OoT is going to (and does) stand up just fine against tWW, just as Super Mario 3 still stands up against Super Mario World. We need to stop telling Nintendo what their game should look like, because that's how we got Twilight Princess. Whatever fits each individual title is what the game should look like.

Thank you about TPS. It's going great, and we can't wait to show you what we've got cooking.

I truly think we make way too much of a big deal about the art direction, from BOTH SIDES of the argument. I know almost just as many fans who say realistic shading is awful because "it's not meant for Zelda." You know what? Whatever art direction complements the mood of each individual title best is what they should use. Stop saying that Zelda should be this or that. You can't have Nintendo going into each title with a chosen art style as if it's a separate idea from the rest of the game.

"You're claiming to be Zelda Orchestrated." We didn't claim anything. It's your fucking post dude.

To answer your concern, the songs were already orchestrated once....for their own midi orchestra. We are "reorchestrating" them for our own virtual orchestra. We transcribe the "orchestrations" by ear and create a "reorchestration." Zelda Orchestrated would take the non-orchestrated Zelda songs (Sled Game and Zant Battle from TP) and "orchestrate" them....for an orchestra (virtual or real)....for the first time, as opposed to Zelda Reorchestrated...which "reorchestrates" Zelda music deriving from pre-existing "orchestration." A "reorchestration" simply is an orchestrated transcription. I believe you are confusing a "reorchestration" for an "arrangement." An "arrangement" can be "orchestrated," but it cannot be "reorchestrated" because it is in itself an original "orchestration" - not to be confused with an original "composition," in which case, we'd get "sued" for "copyright infringement."

:P

So sorry, but you are incorrect. Now what Fire is saying, is that unless we're arranging the Skyward Sword music (assuming it's fully orchestrated with a live ensemble), there's not much of a point reorchestrating the soundtrack since a real orchestra will always sound better than a virtual orchestra. It's not that we couldn't, just that there'd be no point. Thanks anyway!

Don't get me wrong, I'm right there with you, Jared...trust me. I feel awful whenever comments like these come up because obviously that's an area I could really help with and I desperately want to satisfy. I can only continue to promise you guys that the wait will have been worth it... :(
