So happy to hear that you are getting so much out of your reading of the Gita! That is AMAZING. :) Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. The hope is that perhaps a book may manifest from all this writing. :)

Thank you so much Martha! Advanced practitioners of yoga often refer to it as the "yoga ladder". In this way we can grow gradually. The beauty of the Gita is that it gives the shortcut as well! So whether we want to go step by step or take the short cut - it's all there! :)

Great comparison to martial arts Galen! The practice of yoga is beautiful because there's something in it for everyone. But if we want to really get the maximum benefit, we really need to go deep. Beautiful reflection! Thank you so much for sharing. :)

Thanks so much Joe! Yes, you're right. If we just tune in and gain the ability to listen to our intuition, we will be able to know what is the right thing to do. If that frequency is a little muddled, if we have the right mentors and well-wishers in our lives, we can go to them for guidance as well.

I can totally relate! Sometimes that sense of contradiction occurs because some of us (myself included) tend to categorize things as black or white. One of the biggest lessons that the Gita teaches is the importance of consciousness and attitude. Since it is an intangible, it can be hard for some of us to grasp that concept. It's consciousness that shapes our motivations and desires and that's exactly what Krsna is trying to teach Arjuna here.

Nothing worthwhile is ever easy, isn't it? However, we can use aggression to tame the crazy ways of the mind. :)

Thanks so much Martha! Yes, everything has a purpose and reason behind it. We just need to have the authorized guidance and mentors to teach us how to use everything in a positive way that serves to uplift and help others.
