Big Hollywood : Journey to 'Fear of a Black Republican'

True, but it sure isn't easy when you walk into a music shop looking for instrument parts, and the first thing you run into is a "down with the evil rethuglikans" sign.

And somehow it manages to look like a cheery blue Dalek. That's just *wrong*.

Macleans.ca : Centre of the storm

The sad truth of most government work is that it is sloppy, insular, and deceptive. To my mind, the problem is that for the customers (the politicians) the product they are buying is continued electability. That doesn't require sound science, just science that sounds good enough to the voters who look at it. That's true of pretty much everything the government buys; all it has to do is convince the voters that it is good, but there is no requirement that it actually be any good for real, just convincing. If the politicians could get away with making freeway overpasses out of cardboard, and keeping "Don't Drive on" signs on them, they would.

Breitbart.com : Palestinian files $110M libel suit over \'Bruno\'

You've led a very sheltered life, haven't you? Palestine is in what is effectively a massive gang war. Calling someone a Crypt, when they aren't, still sets the Bloods after them. By pegging the guy as an AAMB leader, not only is he going to be a trouble with the Israelis, he's also on the hit list of any other terror group looking to move into the AAMB's turf. Of course, since he apparently impersonated AAMB leader, and embarrassed them in front of a "gay jew" the AAMB is not going to be terribly interested in collecting him up either. There is a pretty good chance his head's going to end up on a pike decorating somebody's front lawn.

Big Hollywood : All the Wrong Moves

I remember back in an old Bloom County, Otis ended up getting a "Star Wars" missile defense grant to build a missile shield by stitching together 1B one dollar bills into a dome covering the entire US. I wonder how many dollar bills that would actually take?

You love the fact that Congress just spent to last of the money the federal government is going to take in for the year, without even getting to the actual budget? Seriously, do you burn down your block when your neighbor pisses you off or something?
