But he was responsible for the unrest that led eventually to numerous deaths via sectarian riots and the wars between India and Pakistan. Gandhi in no way has clean hands. Mind you, thinking about it perhaps the caste system that he supported also could be classed as a form of slavery. Such bloody hands on someone who the unreasoning and uneducated hold in such high regard.

Does these statements by Humza Yousaf, the Scottish Justice Secretary,: “Stirring up of hatred can contribute to a social atmosphere in which discrimination is accepted as normal. By creating robust laws for the justice system, parliament will send a strong message to victims, perpetrators, communities and to wider society that offences motivated by prejudice will be treated seriously and will not be tolerated” and “Stirring up hatred” against these groups, according to the Bill, is defined as behaving in a threatening, abusive or insulting manner, or sending, showing or making available such material to another person. It makes a crime of displaying, publishing or distributing “material that stirs up hatred”. It is irrelevant if an individual intends to “stir up hatred” – it is enough that “it is likely that hatred will be stirred up” Does this mean we will soon see the majority of SNP MPs and MSPs in court along with their activists? After all it seems that the language they use against the English would be breaches of the law.

Cressida Dick should be fired, she has proved herself time and time again unable to carry out the duties of the office which she so much enjoys parading herself around as the holder of. If the police will not control the streets then there are only two other choices normally, those being the military or the people who want law and order returned to our streets. Our military is now too small to take on the task (though undoubtedly they could do a substantial effort - and many reservists and ex-military would turn out to support them as auxiliaries). This then leaves it to those who seeing our streets become lawless and want peace and law returned to act, and undoubtedly some will be inclined to do so. Dick needs to either resign or be immediately removed from her post and replaced by someone who will do the job properly. Boris was willing to buy and use water cannons, surely he can see what is happening and that water cannons should be the least that is used against the rioters.

http://www.conservativehome.com/ : China 1) Our survey. 85 per cent of Party members support the Government's Hong Kong passport rights

On a side note, I note that there must be a huge overlap of Brexiteers within the party who also support the Government's position on the HK situation - that kind of puts to rest the claim from many Remainiacs / Rejoiners that all us Brexiteers are xenophobes and/or racists I think.

Oh dear, a non-member of the party giving advice on how party members should act and to boot calling into question the authenticity of the result of the poll. I am sure we members and those associated with this site are really not that concerned over your opinions, if at all that is.

Your reply earlier compared to your later reply, compare them. Early reply by you "Truth? OMG. The media was massively biased in favour of leave, as well you know." Later reply when challenged "All the reports I recall seeing said that coverage on broadcast media was well balanced." Was that on those broadcast media?????? And as for The Times, The Mirror, The Guardian, Observer, The Financial Times, Metro, Sunday Times - you think these were for 'Leave'. OMG.

I think the public have been led by the media bias, whereas those who actually have examined the facts in more detail and not the made up statements and opinions of so-called journalists see that Cummings (and indeed Boris) should be supported. The problem for the press is that undoubtedly 'the truth will out' - and that is going to be a very big problem for these so-called journalists and the organisations they work for, and no more so than the BBC.

Just for the record with regard to this matter I will post now that what Boris decides upon I as a member will back. (This is not blind following but a realisation that leaders have to lead and make decisions and the poor troops on the ground just have to hope their leader is making the right choice. As Boris has not let me down in my expectations of him so far I will continue being loyal on this, what is, a very minor matter.)

Why do you, who by your own language (" he doesn't give a damn about you or your party") give a damn about us Conservatives and Conservative Party members, or our party? Perhaps your post identifies that you are actually anti-Cummings and anti-Boris rather than anything else.
