Speaking as a big KH fan, his parents dropped out of existence after the first level of the first game. Never seen, heard or referenced again.
But at least he has his friends.

My first Pokemon game. I was a noob. saw like two episodes of the anime. One movie. Extremely low experiance.
I come across a pokemon while surfing that I assumed to be legendary, panicked and chucked my master ball at him.
It was a lvl 36 Gyrados.
