A Political Season : 2012: Obama vs. Romney To Turn on the Debates

Romney has advantage of being in 20 or so debates recently as part of the GOP primaries. He was much better in the final few debates ... that should help him when he goes up against Obama.

A Political Season : Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you as well Aaron! Any chance that we may seem some blog posts in this year from the other half of the Aaron & Alaine combination? That said -- I have your blog as one of my RSS-feeds on my Google Reader so I'm alerted whenever you do post. I enjoy reading your perspective on all things geo-political and GOP! Take care, Villager

A Political Season : Tavis and Cornell Have One Thing Right...Black People Can & Should Criticize Obama

I don't have the same discussions with other Black folks. Black folks (in my experience) don't have an issue criticizing President Obama about a wide range of issues including the wars and the economy. However, they are able to do so without being disrespectful of the man or his office. Too often I see Obama's critics being disrespectful ... including Tavis and Cornel. Their level of disrespect turns me off to any positive aspects of their message.

A Political Season : Bachmann and Gingrich: Finally Cracking the Code That Will Let the GOP Communicate With Black Voters

I can always count on you for a provocative commentary on presidential politics. It is beyond my imaginzation to conceive of a world where the Black community gives any credibility to Michelle Bachmann or Newt Gingrich. Just can't imagine it... peace, Villager My recent post Sunday Inspirations: RIP Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

Womanist Musings : Tune in Tuesday: Lenny Kravitz Baby It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over

Happy TIT! Lenny is truly a genius. I wonder if this song's lyrics are related to his ill-fated relationship with the Cosby-show actress? I invite your blog readers to tune in on my thoughts about Norman Connors as we muse about our next 'starship'! peace, Villager

Womanist Musings : Obama Naked With Unicorns (NSFW)

The artwork has shock value. However, I think it is disrespectul to paint our president in the nude as the artist is doing. I just don't see the same thing happening with Ronald Reagan or even John Kennedy. Why do folks think that they can take liberties with President Obama? peace, Villager

Womanist Musings : The Wedding Dance

That was a very creative and heart-felt wedding entrance. And some of the folks in that entrance looked as if they hadn't been on a dancefloor in a very looooong time ... so it was nice to see everyone of 'em joining in the fun for the bride and groom. The video brought a smile to my face as well. How cool it must be to have almost 2,000,000 folks viewing part of your wedding video! peace, Villager

This Tune in Tuesday meme idea is a good one. My entry to the meme revolved around The Dramatics and a song the released in 1977. Top Gun was a good movie. It's odd that you post this song on the same day that the Top Gun F-22 airplane is voted down by US Senate :) peace, Villager

Quite simply ... I'm scared of this bike tour vehicle. I think that I'll stick to those big double-decker busses. Of course, since I must admit to being a T-man ... when the bike can be built that looks like a nice pair of breasts ... well, I might crawl on that sucker! :)

I enjoyed reviewing your list. Not surprisingly, I have never heard of many (most?) of 'em! (smile). I think we had three in common ... Na'im Akbar, Alex Haley and Isaac Asimov. I'm just now realizing that I've heard many of the Sun Tzu teachings ... but, I don't think I've ever read his book. Need to check that out...
