Although I realize that the deer population needs to be thinned out annually so the strong can survive and the forrests not be over-grazed, perhaps there should be a law about not shooting these "elder" animals. How sad to see such a beautiful animal lifeless. I doubt the meat of a 9 year old Elk is as good as that of a 2-3 year old animal....
