Saying you can pay tax at any age is a bit of a red herring. Entitlement to to the minimum wage and liability to pay National Insurance starts at age 16.
In reality the tax argument outweighs the others.
Academic though. The Conservatives will use every trick in the book to prevent it. But trying to represent self interest as some sort of democratic principle will be hard work.

Your second paragraph is really the most total nonsense.
A simple majority in a referendum is a bigger mandate than a Government elected on a minority of the votes cast.

You have already made your own "rational" decision.
Why would it take 4 years to arrive at a destination you have already reached

If "it is obvious that we made a massive mistake in choosing to Brexit" why on earth would you want a cooling off period. To do what exactly.

Exactly.
I give up on those who are trying to defend the indefensible. But I do wonder why such material isn't unearthed before someone is appointed to public office. A totally avoidable, self inflicted wound.

You need to pick your fights with them. I suspect that this is the wrong time. If they get their way on Young, as they probably will as more of his misogynistic outbursts are uncovered, their crowing will be relentless.

The unearthed on line remarks by Toby Young are truly horrible. A ghastly mistake to appoint him which will bring nothing but pain.

That doesn't make any sense. If they were looking to justify the raid then they would have fabricated and published the evidence at the time.

Bob Quick tells the Sunday Times pornography was found on one of Mr Green's parliamentary computers during the 2008 inquiry into the home office leaks. Damian Green says: "This story is completely untrue and comes from a tainted and untrustworthy source. The police have never suggested to me that improper material was found on my Parliamentary computer, nor did I have a 'private' computer as has been claimed."

This account on the BBC timeline shows what a wonderful word "misleading" is to describe Damien Green's statements. The essence is that he said the policemen were lying whereas we know they were not.

It cannot be right for such confidential information to have been released by retired police officers. But neither should anything detract from the disgraceful behaviour of a an MP.

The only constant over the last twelve months is the Mrs May herself remains a transparently decent, honest and conscientious person.
If she really is weaker this morning then people need to be careful what they are wishing for.
