2News - Boise, ID : Did police violate videotaped woman's 'Right to report?' | KBCI CBS 2 - News, Weather and Sports - B

I do believe this was a violation of the woman's privacy, among other things. Not only can the woman in question recognize herself in the description, but so can anyone who knows her: friends, family. I cannot imagine how humiliating it would be to have everyone you know find out that you went to a bar, got incapacitatingly drunk and were taken advantage of and violated by two men who videotaped the whole event. I have to say if it was me I would most likely not pursue the case or even admit it was actually me, in an attempt to maintain whatever dignity I had left. After all, it was some time ago and she's got a life she's living. What if she's married now? What do you think her husband might think to find out such a thing? Honestly, this is one case where I think ignorance, if not bliss, is certainly better than public mortification.
