From what my understanding of how this trademark thing works, is if we aim for the stars and outdo ourselves in making a work of art that will grab attention of a mass population that does not fit into the Hasbro's ip image. They have the right to interfere the fanwork of said masterpiece and prevent any misrepresentation of what Hasbro planed for their MLP FIM. Thus makes the majority of fanwork unprotected for take downs, regardless if its for profit or non-profit. This greatly bothers me and many others, since its like they are trying to sweep the brony fandom's creation under the rug.
I just have one question, is art a form of freedom of speech?
