We're moving soon, and the thing I will miss most about our place, no lie, is that the cashier at the bodega across the street is an incredibly gifted avocado sommelier. Forget one perfect rose AND one perfect limousine, Dorothy Parker; I'll take one perfect avocado every time.

I think if I had grabbed at them with my clumsy toddler hands, it could have hurt them, but it's fine to let them land on you. I think the dust is a myth, though.

I only have one cat, but he likes to do this with *me* (on the occasions when I am the only human in the apartment; obviously, the door is firmly closed otherwise.

I used to scream and run away from butterflies as a child, but it's because some well-meaning adult had told me that if I grabbed one, the dust on its wings would come off and it would die, and I was terrified that one would brush past me and then I would be A MURDERER.
