A mlp MMO must have unique cutie marks. (A number of factors can probably determine your cutie mark).

As for what I'd like to see in a MLP MMO :
PVE content (but not raids or groups). Either Diablo or RTS style PVE.
Social content
Exploration
No "gear"
Player ability to change the world permanently.
Thus I suppose, PVP.
