Big Government : Reason.tv: What We Saw At Occupy Wall Street

I have been watching a lot of videos of these protesters, and I can't believe the media is treating them in such a positive light. I have seen elements of racism, sexism, and demands that will only make the country worse - not better. They push and push the cops until the cops finally crack down then claim police brutality. They think they represent the 99%, but I don't know anyone who thinks like these people.

Big Government : #OccupyWallStreet's Racist Speech Rule: White Men Last

I guess it's good to know racism and sexism is alive and well in the occupy wall street movement. Not only is it alive and well, but it is promoted and encouraged.

Big Government : Will #OccupyWallStreet Kill Investment?

I can't blame some of these students for being mad, it is obvious they did not get much of an education because they have all turned out to be complete idiots. They blame the banks for their student debt when it is the universities and colleges that sets the tuition rates, not the banks. They chose to attend the school, they were not forced. I am attending a university right now, and I accept the debt in exchange for my education. I realize it will be difficult to pay off, but I know what I got myself into. I am not going to blame anyone else. They claim they want to collapse the system, but not one of these "students" has the ability to think critically about the situation they are trying to create. Here are some questions I have for these protesters: What happens when the bank system collapses and no one has the ability to access money? Does that help create jobs? What happens when the government collapses? Who protects us from other countries who might want to take advantage of America in a compromised state? You think that America doesn't have enemies who will try their hardest to hit America when it is down. Also, when the system collapses, what do we replace it with? How do we prevent civil war and people who will take advantage of a collapsed system? I think these are questions that should be answered before you destroy something that has lasted for over 200 years.

Big Journalism : Sound Bite for the Day: Richard Wolffe 'Leans Forward' and Falls on His Face

I've decided that Republicans should try this whole blame racists thing just for the fun of it. Every time someone criticizes Speaker Boehner, I'm going to say it is because of the color of Boehner's skin. I'm sure they will tell me that I'm using it just to ignore a debate, and I will tell those people I'm just joining their club.

Big Government : A Call to Violence on a Facebook Page for Upcoming Rally Supporting Illegal Immigration

"However, in a democratic republic, such political speech must never include violence or threats of violence!" First point: people who come here illegaly already demonstrate that they do not care for the laws of the land, so why would they follow the values of the democratic republic that our laws are built upon? Second: I'm all for people gathering to demonstrate their cause, but when it resorts to violence, that tells me that the protesters to do not have any valid points to make, which is why they act violently. It reminds me of a kid who does not get his way. He can't articulate why he should get his way very well so he starts jumping up and down, screams, and maybe even throws things.

Big Government : Video: WI Dem. Rep. Gordon Hintz Understands Why He Is the Minority Party

Representative Hintz demonstrates the problem with politicians in general. When an issue goes against stuff they believe in, they will whine and complain about the ways things are being done by those in the opposing party, but the minute a politicians own party does the same thing with something he or she agrees with, they remain silent and support the effort. I have seen both Republicans and Democrats do this. I hate to break this poor representatives heart, but life sucks and there are times when you do not get your way. He has a right to disagree and voice his opinion, but he needs to quit acting like what is happening has never happened before let alone done by those who are on the same political line as he is. Why don't these Democrats just accept what is happening, campaign against it during the next election, and let the voice of the people decide. If Democrats get voted back into power, then they can reverse what the Republicans do. It is that simple.

Big Hollywood : Why is the Associated Press Pushing to Make Names of Gun Owners Public?

It's time for all the gun owners to rise up and protest like the unions in Wisconsin! The media will support them like they support the Unions. Okay, enough sarcasm. What a huge invasion of privacy! How can the attorney general even consider this. How would these people over at the AP like it if I requested personal information about something they own? What good could possibly come from this. They have to be up to something!

Big Government : Protesting Teacher: Give Us the Billionaires’ Addresses!

I think it would only be fair to give out the addresses of these protesting teachers if others start giving out the addresses of those who we classify as "rich." How would this teacher feel if protesters showed up at her home to protest the fact that she protests? I originally thought I supported these unions until I saw coverage of the protests. The priorities of these unions are so screwed up it is scary. I agree with Kyle in wondering why teachers unions remain silent regarding the poor performance of the children they teach. These teachers may claim they teach because they care about the children, but they have yet to prove it to me.

Big Government : UN Climate Summit, Cancun, Mexico: Climate Conmen Sending You Back 100 Years

I agree with the comment at the end of the video. These people constantly preach global warming and talk of forcing people to live a certain way to save the planet from certain destruction. These same people fly in private jets, ride in limos, and basically demonstrate by their actions that global warming really is not as important as they claim it is. I refuse to listen to people who do not practice what they preach.

Big Journalism : Charlie Rangel: Sad, But To Be Expected

I agree with the conclusion made in this article. Politicians need term limits. They should not be allowed to live off of the taxpayer as long as they keep getting reelected into office. I am tired of career politicians in this country because they forget what it is like to be a regular member of society.

I agree. When I first heard that Rangel might be censured, I decided to find out what it meant since I had never heard of it before. When I found out it was nothing more than verbal disapproval or harsh criticism, I was shocked. Like the article pointed out, if any regular United States citizen had done the same things Charlie Rangel did to avoid taxes, he or she would not receive harsh criticism from the IRS and go on with their lives. Censure should be eliminated. If a congressman or congresswoman is found guilty of crimes committed while in office, they should be removed upon being found guilty and forced to receive the same type of punishment any other United States citizen would receive.

Big Government : Union Jobs vs. Children's Lives: Which Side Are You On?

A couple of thoughts come to mind while reading this article. First, I can understand why some school administrators hesitate to give children medication even if it does save lives. People are sue happy in this country. They are in a difficult position. If they administer the drug and something goes wrong, someone will sue. If they do not administer the drug and something goes wrong, someone will sue. A workaround would be for parents in this position to be required to sign a legal waiver in the event something does go wrong, but even then, someone could still try to sue and say that because of the waiver, the school administrator did nothing. Where do you draw the line? Even with this law in effect, there could still be litigation issues. That still does not explain why the unions would reject something like this in my book, but it is something to think about.

This is why the government needs to limit the amount of information it has on people. We here constant stories about database information being stolen, lost, emailed, etc. By creating another way for systems to read stored information we are only opening ourselves up to people being able to abuse it.
