Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Vent through 7/9

With everything going on, there isn't a whole lot one single person can do. The nice thing is that there are a LOT of individual people out there. For my part, I'm looking into juggling the opportunity to get involved with the tea-parties (it is made difficult when one has to work around a work schedule). Another way is that I've just started a Cafe Press store. http://www.cafepress.com/PolitInc It's called Politically Inconceivable for a reason. It is Inconceivable that we have somehow allowed our government to grow the way it has. It is Inconceivable that too many people (my wife included) support everything the government is doing because they didn't get a fair shake. To the government, it is Inconceivable that a person like myself would actually question them on the direction they're going.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/20/09: It Was Close, But Mark Levin's Book, Beats Chavez Pick, BARELY

It would be kind of like buying Mein Kampf out of curiosity. It may sound like a good idea at first, but after a while your sucked into it because some of it does make sense. And thus the trip to the other side is about complete, just need to implement what ever the book is talking about for said trip to be finalized. I would almost imagine that Obama is already there, and that the book given to him by Chavez is just the same thing, but with the perspective of latin america.

I agree and I say bring it. I only say this because leaders should lead from the front and not the back. Hogtie their butts and put them well ahead of the soldiers that'll have to do the fighting.

1,000,000,000,000 1 Trillion dollars. 100,000,000 1 Hundred million dollars. As silly as it may appear (and running on 5 hours sleep in 40 some hours a lot is just plain funny), but a bit of a visual description helps when trying to see the difference.

Revised version with NannieA's suggestions. I did think of something else though (rather amazing given how exhausted I am). One probably shouldn't try burning the midnight oil and think a lot, mistakes can be made. As such, I'm posting the revised version with the request that others copy, paste and print it so that it can be passed around to other people as well as the media outlets. I realized that while I can get something done, it cannot compare to having a lot of other people who agree doing the same thing, getting this out to people. The Necessity of Tea Parties When one criticizes the government; whether it is federal, state or local, it shows that they are paying attention and care about which direction the city, state or country is heading. This criticism is the highest form of patriotism. The purpose of the Tea-Parties is not Anti-Obama, Anti-Democrat, Anti-Republican or Anti-Government. The purpose is rather simple, it is Anti-Insanity. The insanity is the gross expansion of the government and excessive spending. This is what many are against. Government, by its nature, is not a business and therefore does not generate revenue like a business. The government does not produce the alternator that goes into your vehicle, that's up to businesses like General Motors to make the part and Auto Zone to have the part in stock to buy. The government does not produce the ketchup that many enjoy on their burgers, like Heinz does. Because the government does not produce products to sell, they are then considered to be consumers. A consumer is a purchaser of goods and/or services. The government buys the chairs that they use to sit in when writing bills or having meetings. They buy pens and paper. The services provided by the government would be the FBI, DoD, DHS, IRS, police, fire, military and too many more to list. This writer does not intentionally mean to denigrate them, but the bare simplistic explanation is that those are services. Because the government does not generate revenue like a business, just how do they pay for the goods and services that are provided? The answer for two hundred is what are taxes. While many of us don't like taxes, it is a necessity. After all how would police, fire and military (just to name a few) earn a living? How would you get to work if there were no paved roads (even though many need a lot of repair)? Taxes simply provides us with the services that we use and need. But at what point does it become too much? Is that point where the government, and remember it produces nothing and consumes a lot, expands itself? Or is it that point where tax dollars are used to bail out failing businesses? Let's not forget that these businesses are failing due to several reasons: executive greed, poor business planning and/or government interference through excessive and restrictive regulation. It also does not help when the Corporate Tax rate is so high that the United States is ranked as the third or fourth highest in the world (depending on what sources you look at). The problem with excessive spending; TARP and the stimulus bills, is that the federal government already had a rather substantial deficit, think of it as a negative account balance. This means that the federal government had to borrow money from the “bank”, and that bank are other countries and the American people. When it comes time to start paying that loan, taxes will go up. The recent cigarette tax hike is just the beginning. And unlike Alaska, governed by Palin and presently has a budget surplus, the Federal Government does not have the money to spare on paying off the growing deficit, and probably won't at the rate they keep spending money. This should make one wonder what could happen if this spending spree cannot be paid for. Quite frankly, it is time to wonder who the real patriots are. The ones who criticize and want to put a stop to the excessive spending and government growth. Or the ones who are in office and are leading us in the direction of spending and governmental growth.

Being a non-Christian, I honestly couldn't say. Sounds almost like the person had religion crammed down their throat for many years and turned away from it. Personally, just because I am not Christian does not mean that I am without honor (it's late, 4:30 am and I hope I said that right). I was raised Baptist and turned my back when my questions began to be answered with "Because it says so". Got aggravating after a while. I have since learned that there really are not answers to my questions, but it doesn't bother me because I still live with my honor and that's all that really matters to me. Few find that hard to believe of me. That's their problem, not mine. Fewer still would believe that I'm a big supporter of my fiance's goal of becoming a minister. She get's an outsiders viewpoint and even I learn an item or three from time to time.

I'm posting this here because I would like comments and suggestions for editing it before I officially publish this in as many places as I can.
Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/12/09: If You Thought Chia-Obama Was Strange, What About "Barack The Barbarian?"

Who truly believes that this is a good idea? Certainly not me. Definitions of Barbarian as presented by Wikipedia and Merriam-Webster: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbarian "Barbarian" is a pejorative term for an uncivilized person, either in a general reference to a member of a nation or ethnos, typically a tribal society as seen by an urban civilization either viewed as inferior, or admired as a noble savage. In idiomatic or figurative usage, a "barbarian" may also be an individual reference to a brutal, cruel, warlike, insensitive person.[1] http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/barbari... bar·bar·i·an Pronunciation: \\bär-ˈber-ē-ən\\ Function: adjective Etymology: Latin barbarus — more at barbarous Date: 14th century 1 : of or relating to a land, culture, or people alien and usually believed to be inferior to another land, culture, or people 2 : lacking refinement, learning, or artistic or literary culture — barbarian noun I don't know about anybody else, but I'm tired of hearing the race card over, and over, and over, and over again. Somebody is going to start screaming the race card just by hearing about and will continue until the blasted comic is actually published. What is really going to bother me is that by representing POTUS in this way, there's inevitably going to be yet another negative light shed upon America.

Hurting your feelings huh? Too bad. I don't care. To quote you: Suffer. And grow beans. I would like to know where the charity and reverence are in that statement, not to mention that damned fool idea of an ammo coupon. Oh, wait, that's right.....there is NONE!! Kid, should things go downhill fast, you've tagged yourself as prey with just about all of your comments. And until your reality check clears, and you've learned a few things, that's how you will be. My charity towards you is that I hope for your sake you'll learn very quickly what it is to be an American. Open your mind to what you would deem impossible and learn to be a real American.

You said: But I do think there's some connection between guns, jails, and working-class white-boy anger that spills out day in and day out as gun violence - of the domestic dispute/mass shooting/road rage variety My response: Tell that to the black kid that SHOT a would be car-jacker. The car-jackers gang wanted to take out a piece of this kid, which not only had a bunch of police involved, but the police also closed the ER of one of the local hospitals, where shooter and bullet sponge went. Guess who didn't go to jail....the kid who did the shooting. Not only was he legal on the gun permit, but he was legal on the carry-conceal permit. Guess who went to jail.....the moron who got shot, PLUS his gang for various weapons (a lot of no permits) and drugs.

Read up on Take Back Toledo. The petition requirement was between 19 and 20 thousand signers. They got over 40 thousand. The signers are right now being verified and once that's done, the mayor has five days to resign. If he does not, then it goes to election in September. That's the Power of the People.
