I hope you feel the same way when you are taxed at an increased level because the gov decides to take care of you and others at the expanded level that they are planning with your money, because nothing is free, even freedom. The "Patriot Act" was voted into law by all, it was not an executive order, or you would have heard about a reversal from your feteless leader. It was voted in because it was necessary to keep our people safe. Were you actually impacted some way by it? Yes, no attacks on our soil since 9/11/01. Did someone listen to your calls? At the apparent urging of the Chinese government, the Port Authority is going to change the name of the "Freedom Tower" to make it more marketable. Can't say for sure the Chinese have anything to do with it, but the name change was announced at the same time as the announcement of their taking up residence on several floors. The new name is to be "One World Trade Center", and I guess freedom has to take a back seat these days to everything. I, for one, am extremely disappointed in the powers to be. In my benefit package there is a section where I can opt out of coverage and receive a check for opting out. I wonder if those are figured in to their numbers? While they are trying to shove this coverage down our throats, I was under the assumption we were a free country where we had options to make our own decisions that had such an effect on our lives. It is included in my pursuit of happiness I thought!

Yes dwin, in ohio here, you have to pay for doctors visits from your account, as well as pay child support from it. You also have to work for less than 50 cents an hour. Besides which, the care is sub par, and actually only good if it is an emergency and you go off campus( outside hospotal ). Anyone thinking prisoners are getting good medical care is nuts. You also are at risk of receiving more life threatening ailments ( like stabbings and beatings ) while in prison. Yes, this is the type of coverage our tax dollars will get us, and it will not be free unless you don't/won't work, the same as it is today on welfare/medicare. Nothing is free, someone somewhere must pay for these things. Congress just spends our money like it came out of some magical hole in the ground, but that is our money!!

Remember the mantra repeated constantly during the election that ultimately got him elected, "Ninety-Five Percent of the Working People Will Get a Tax Cut". I heard that a hundred times a day for the entire campaign. I asked a liberal friend of mine yesterday "What has he done for you?", the answer was "I got an extension to my unemployment benefits". It makes me sick that we sold our republic for $13 a week compensation. That is not including the taxation we will see in the near future.

Hey brother, I am trying to listen to your side, my first impulse is to fight back at you. Your posts are full of past hate and rhetorical crap like: "Obama is trying to superglue the thing back together after Bush/Cheney shredded it and threw it in the Potomac. " Specifically how did he step on your rights? Did he tap your wires or perhaps a terrorist friend of yours? Did he not go to congress and get approval from all sides, whether we liked the decision or not, to expand the war on terror to include Iraq? He did all of those things with the blessings of many who had the same access to intelligence as he did, why do you not fault them as well? Do you not understand that beyond executive order and the veto pen, all presidents are powerless before their congress, and I mean all. It is congress that must be held accountable. Let it go brother, it is a new chapter, do not throw it all into the fire of despair for the New World Order, you are being used!

She continues to be a threat to them as we speak, being from the outside( not a lawyer and having gone against the system ), they are still launching lawsuits at her to the point she is contemplating a defense fund as Glenn stated in last nights program. It would be interesting to find out if we could use those tactics to waste their resources as well to level the playing field and gum up their works as well. There are many items that could be also frivolously thrown around as lawsuits that would serve to wear their people down. The money wasted could better be spent on offense than defense, and that is their goal.

I just love watching him spend his political capital (his 401K) in such a wasteful manner, so like his budget proposals. Can't wait for his 401K to lose its value like mine. I was so unimpressed by the lies that came forth from his mouth, it was no surprise that fully half of what was asked received no answer of worth at all, and the answers that did come forth were an affirmation of my opinion of the mans policies. He just continues to p!$$ people off who are following politics, and alienating the rest of the people by cutting into their TV programming. Nice shot Mr. President!!! Keep up the good work so we will have an easier time countering you.
