They should have released something alongside dreadfleet, so peole didn't feel like 'their' systems were on the backburner. They didn't and as a result of that, sales suffered.

I'd have loved it if dreadfleet was more than skullboats and a mat, but it isn't.

Here's what's going on. Oldcrons had no fluff, so ever since they were crowbarred into the game all those years ago, ruining everything and every single faction in one way or another, the 'fans' have been making these theories that are, indeed, largely accepted as fact - like how necrons 'lose' personality when you destroy them. THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED IN THE OFFICIAL FLUFF, because necrons were meant to be ultimate, invincible, and completely bland and boring.

Your characters are a space grim reaper, who uses a space scythe to kill space knights, called space marines, yet gets scared off by a marine with a meltabomb.
The one other hero is the deceiver, a really large, oiled up, naked man, wrapped in a toga, with his 12 pack abs proudly displayed, along with his Majin-Buu hair. His demise comes about as he's giving a Bond villain speech.

You see, no one takes the c'tan seriously, or even likes them. No, not even GW. The only person who ever portrayed them in a favorable, non-hammy light was Andy Chambers himself. That's when they were even mentioned. Unless forced to throw them in (medusa V), they just weren't mentioned.
