Purchasing consoles on launch majority of the time is stupid as you said most consoles have terribles launches. The only system to come out with a bang was the Dreamcast. One thing to point out was the fact Sony was losing money manufacturing the ps3 up until this year so dont come with that talk about ps3 being not worth the value. The 360 to date has never been worth it value ever since launch. The only reason I got one in addition to having my ps3 is that most of friends have one. My brother plays the console more than me.
